The line incorporates UV and LED curing, rotary screen printing, die-cutting, automatic waste handling, online inspection, inkjet coding, corona treatment, anti-static systems and dual-side web cleaning within a single production workflow.

CHINA – Jiangmen Top Packaging has validated Weigang’s ZJR-450G flexographic press with 12 integrated production units, UV/LED curing, rotary screen printing and MES connectivity, as the Chinese packaging group strengthens its advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The successful factory acceptance test, conducted at Weigang’s manufacturing facility, marks a significant milestone ahead of the machine’s delivery and installation.
Jiangmen Top Packaging operates more than 50 production lines and maintains Class 100,000 cleanroom facilities, supplying packaging to well-known consumer brands across the food, beverage and consumer goods sectors.
The company is part of Top Printing Group, one of China’s leading packaging printers with annual revenue of RMB 5 billion (US$694 million), operating six factories across Tianjin, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing and Jiangmen.
How the ZJR-450G’s 12 Integrated Production Units Boost Packaging Efficiency
The newly validated platform combines 12 flexographic printing units with Siemens controls, complemented by a range of integrated automation technologies.
The line incorporates UV and LED curing, rotary screen printing, die-cutting, automatic waste handling, online inspection, inkjet coding, corona treatment, anti-static systems and dual-side web cleaning within a single production workflow.
The press has been prepared for Manufacturing Execution System connectivity, enabling future integration with digital manufacturing and production management systems.
This integration capability aligns with China’s broader packaging industry transformation, where the sector’s 20,000-plus enterprises generated over RMB 2 trillion (US$278 billion) in revenue.
During the factory acceptance process, representatives from Jiangmen Top Packaging reviewed the machine’s performance, automation systems and production capabilities, while also gaining a closer understanding of Weigang’s manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
Why Integrated Production Platforms Are Gaining Traction in China’s Packaging Sector
The investment reflects a broader trend where converters are increasingly seeking highly integrated production platforms capable of supporting productivity, quality assurance and traceability requirements in large-scale consumer goods packaging.
As brand owners continue to place greater emphasis on production consistency, supply chain transparency and operational efficiency, packaging producers are investing in equipment that combines printing, inspection, coding and data collection into a unified manufacturing process.
For Weigang, the project highlights growing demand for advanced production technologies that support both high-volume manufacturing and increasingly sophisticated quality management requirements.
The successful completion of the factory acceptance test represents an important milestone ahead of the machine’s delivery and installation, supporting Jiangmen Top Packaging’s continued development of advanced packaging production capabilities.
