Kevin Weadick takes the helm as President and CEO of TricorBraun

Weadick succeeds Court Carruthers, who is retiring after eight years as CEO.

USA – Global packaging leader TricorBraun has announced the appointment of Kevin Weadick as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 5, 2025.

Weadick will lead the company’s global operations, advancing its strategic vision and driving innovation, growth, and operational excellence.

He succeeds Court Carruthers, who is retiring after eight successful years at the helm. Carruthers will remain with the company as Vice Chair of the Board, ensuring continuity and ongoing support.

Keith Strope, Executive Chairman of TricorBraun, welcomed the leadership transition, saying, “We are pleased to have Kevin step into the CEO role. His proven track record in leading high-growth distribution businesses, combined with his strong supply chain expertise, aligns perfectly with our global ambitions and customer-focused mission.

“I also want to thank Court for his exceptional leadership over the past eight years—he leaves behind a powerful legacy of growth and transformation.”

Weadick brings deep experience in distribution and supply chain management. Most recently, he served as CEO of FleetPride, one of North America’s largest distributors of aftermarket truck and trailer parts.

Prior to that, he held a series of leadership roles at Grainger, including as President of Zoro, its fast-growing, tech-enabled business serving small and medium-sized customers.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Weadick began his career with PwC and is a native of Chicago, where he will be based at TricorBraun’s Design and Engineering Studio in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Reflecting on his new role, Weadick said, “I’m honored to lead TricorBraun at this exciting point in its journey. The company has a proud history, a strong culture, and a highly talented team.

“I look forward to building on the impressive momentum already in place—driving sustainable growth, delivering best-in-class service to our customers, and investing in the continued development of our people. I’m energized by the opportunity to shape the next chapter of success.”

Under Carruthers’ leadership, TricorBraun achieved remarkable milestones: tripling revenue and EBITDA, completing 30 acquisitions, expanding into Europe and the Asia Pacific, and entering new packaging sectors such as aluminum cans, industrial containers, and flexible packaging.

He also oversaw the 2021 sale of the company from AEA Investors to Ares Private Equity Funds and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, with AEA remaining a minority investor.
