AUSTRIA – The Supervisory Board of Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG has unanimously decided to extend Peter Oswald’s tenure as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO until May 31, 2029.
This decision follows his successful first term, which concludes on March 31, 2025. Alongside CFO Franz Hiesinger, Oswald will continue to lead the Management Board, which will now expand to include three members.
Joining the Management Board is Roman Billiani, who brings nearly two decades of experience in fibre-based packaging, notably in his role as Managing Director responsible for “Food & Specialities Packaging” in the MM Packaging division.
Billiani’s appointment, effective from May 1, 2024, until April 30, 2027, will see him oversee the enlarged unit “Food & Premium Packaging,” encompassing all packaging operations except “Pharma & Health Care Packaging.”
Wolfgang Eder, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed satisfaction with Oswald’s reappointment, emphasizing continuity during a transformative phase for the company and the industry.
He also welcomed Billiani’s appointment, highlighting his extensive managerial expertise in the packaging sector.
Henrik Ehrnrooth to continue as Chair of UPM Board of Directors
In a separate development, Henrik Ehrnrooth has been re-elected as Chair, and Kim Wahl as Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of UPM-Kymmene Corporation during the Board of Directors’ constitutive meeting held after the Annual General Meeting.
Additionally, the Board appointed chairs and members to various committees:
– Pia Aaltonen-Forsell will chair the Audit Committee, with Jari Gustafsson and Marjan Oudeman as committee members.
– Martin à Porta will continue to chair the Remuneration Committee, with Melanie Maas-Brunner and Topi Manner as committee members.
– Henrik Ehrnrooth will retain his role as chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee, with Piia-Noora Kauppi and Kim Wahl as committee members.
UPM-Kymmene Corporation focuses on delivering renewable and responsible solutions across six business areas, including UPM Fibres, UPM Energy, UPM Raflatac, UPM Specialty Papers, UPM Communication Papers, and UPM Plywood, as it aims to innovate for a future beyond fossil fuels.
Antalis Packaging names new product manager
Antalis Packaging has appointed Amy Skingsley as new product manager to work with customers to demonstrate Antalis’ packaging portfolio.
Skingsley is responsible for driving the product strategy for Antalis Packaging forward and overseeing the packaging portfolio for the UK market.
She has experience in product-focused roles to her position at Antalis. Prior to joining the company, she spent many years in retail buying, most recently at The Works where she was responsible for managing the Stationery and Seasonal categories.
She is tasked with managing product portfolios to help Antalis Packaging continue to offer high-quality packaging solutions to its customers.
