Among Mondi’s triumphant 2024 WorldStar Award-winning products are Hug&Hold (Non-Alcoholic Beverages), Protector Bag ExpandForm (Packaging Materials and Components), Statorfold (Transit), and Mix-Berry (Fresh Fruits and Vegetables).

Hug&Hold stands as a paper-based packaging innovation meticulously crafted to encase and transport PET beverage bottles, expertly supplanting plastic shrink wrap.

Comprising two elements crafted entirely from paper – a kraft paper sleeve enveloping the bottles for secure containment, and a corrugated clip affixed around the necks, providing a comfortable handle for transportation.

This sustainable and automated alternative ensures seamless transition for FMCG brands and beverage producers without jeopardizing product integrity or logistics. Fully recyclable, it seamlessly integrates into existing European paper waste streams.

Protector Bag ExpandForm emerges as a groundbreaking substitute for plastic packaging in mattress rollpacking.

Developed in collaboration with Megaflex Schaumstoff, this flexible, recyclable paper bag solution amplifies product safeguarding and handling during the transit and storage of rolled mattresses.

Its innovative design and robust structure maintain shape and fortify protection throughout the transportation journey, reducing plastic waste significantly.

Statorfold, crafted by Mondi Ansbach in partnership with aPak, revolutionizes electric car motor component protection during transport and storage.

This corrugated cardboard solution replaces conventional plastic packaging, curbing material use, weight, and volume by 25%.

Its robust interior, devised to shelter delicate components, minimizes pressure or shock by enabling free suspension, with weight evenly distributed across four solid bulges. An anti-corrosion bag safeguards against moisture, corrosion, dust, and scratches.

The modular design ensures swift assembly sans glue or fasteners and simplifies dismantling for recycling.

Mix-Berry emerges as a sustainable solution tailored for safe grocery transport, especially delicate berries. Featuring easy installation and a pick-up-&-go handle, this entirely recyclable, paper-based packaging offers robust corrugated cardboard protection, extending the shelf life of food items and reducing packaging and food waste.
