The Indian press manufacturer strengthens its position in the region with its 27th installation.

RUSSIA – Multitec has successfully completed the factory acceptance test (FAT) for a 12-color, 450 mm wide S3S sleeve-based flexographic press for a leading packaging converter in Russia.
This installation marks Multitec’s 27th press in the Russian market, underlining the company’s steadily growing presence in the region and its focus on delivering high-performance, versatile flexo solutions.
The S3S press is configured with 11 rail-mounted accessories, offering 46 permutations and combinations, giving converters unparalleled flexibility in handling complex, multi-process jobs.
Its modular sleeve-based architecture allows for dynamic reconfiguration, enabling operators to adapt the press to a variety of packaging applications with minimal downtime.
According to Multitec, this design reduces material waste, enhances operational efficiency, and improves turnaround times, making it particularly suitable for converters seeking both high precision and high productivity.
Amit Ahuja, CEO of Multitec, said, “This installation reflects the growing demand for highly versatile, future-ready flexo platforms.
“The S3S is engineered to give converters the flexibility to take on complex jobs while maintaining world-class print quality and productivity. We are proud to strengthen our long-standing partnership with the Russian market.”
The S3S is specifically designed to address the limitations of conventional flexographic presses that rely on heavy cylinders, which can make job changeovers cumbersome and time-consuming, particularly in wider-width applications.
By replacing cylinders with modular sleeves, Multitec enables faster job setup, precise registration, and consistent print quality across intricate packaging designs.
This approach not only improves efficiency but also enhances profitability for converters by minimizing press downtime and material waste.
In December of the previous year, Multitec hosted an open house at its Faridabad manufacturing facility, where it showcased the S3S system to converters and industry professionals.
Attendees were given the opportunity to see the press in action, explore its modular capabilities, and understand how sleeve-based flexo technology can streamline operations, accommodate wider formats, and support multi-process printing.
The completion of this FAT reinforces Multitec’s commitment to the Russian market and highlights the growing adoption of sleeve-based flexo presses globally.
By combining advanced engineering with operational flexibility, the S3S positions Multitec as a strategic partner for converters looking to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain world-class print quality in increasingly complex packaging production environments.
This 27th installation demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver solutions tailored to regional market needs while continuing its global expansion of modular, sleeve-based flexo technology.
