USA – ProAmpac, a flexible packaging and material science company, has launched the latest iteration of its online pouch configurator MAKR by DASL.  

The 3D Source Configuration Platform powers this latest iteration, leveraging Unreal Engine technology to enhance the user interface and streamline the graphic development process.  

The configurator has features that allow customers to design custom, high-quality digital flexible packaging prototypes with ease. 

The configurator enables customers to choose from its pouch, bag, or food-to-go formats in accordance with ProAmpac.  

To create a tailored package, the configurator allows customization options, including specific dimensions, features, and graphics.

Additionally, customers can also expect to receive a physical prototype of their new design within two weeks.

ProAmpac global package design, applications, and business development vice-president Sal Pellingra explained, “MAKR by DASL revolutionizes virtual prototyping by providing a quick and easy platform to design packaging online without complicated software or external resources. MAKR’s effectiveness is illustrated by a recent partnership with Brackett Orchards in Maine.

Brackett Orchards Company utilized MAKR to design packaging for its new retail product, Brackett’s Best Apple Chips.  

The designing process involved selecting a package format, modifying it to the desired size, adding a closure, and experimenting with various graphic options to find the best representation for the brand and product.  

MAKR made it quick and easy to bring the new product concept to market.

Brackett’s Orchards owner Josh Paulin added, “By utilizing MAKR by DASL, our ideas came to life, and we easily created package designs and evaluated artwork ideas. From concept to design to prototype testing, ProAmpac shortened the product launch from what I thought would be many months to weeks.”
