The FPLMA Awards highlight RollsPack’s technical expertise and dedication to innovation

AUSTRALIA – RollsPack excelled at the 2025 Flexible Packaging and Label Manufacturers Association (FPLMA) Print Awards in Melbourne on August 22, clinching eight awards, including three golds, three silvers, Best in Show, and the Innovation Award.
The prestigious event honors top achievements in packaging print across flexo, gravure, digital, combination, and innovation categories, judged for technical mastery and craftsmanship.
The Best in Show award went to RollsPack for its Goodman Fielder Wonder packaging in the Flexo Wide Web Surface Print Film category.
The company also secured the Innovation Award for its Snack Brands Kettle Chilli gravure packaging.
Gold awards were won for Snack Brands Blackstone P&P (Flexo Wide Web Reverse Print Film) and Snack Brands Kettle Bundaberg (Gravure Flexible Packaging).
Silvers were awarded for Goodman Fielder Helga’s S&H, Essity Tena, and another Snack Brands Kettle Chilli entry.
Thai Nguyen, FPLMA awards chair, introduced the Best in Show, stating, “This trophy represents passion, precision, and purpose.”
Managing director Phillip Rolls accepted the award with BrandPack and DIC representatives, marking a proud moment for the company.
In his address, Rolls highlighted the importance of embracing technology, saying, “We must learn to control AI as a tool in our organizations.”
He thanked competitors for their inspiration, colleagues for their creativity, and staff for their precision, crediting them for the company’s success.
He emphasized that the awards were a collective achievement, driven by a commitment to excellence.
Recent industry developments show a growing focus on sustainable packaging. A report by Packaging World notes a 15% increase in biodegradable film use in 2025, with the global market reaching US$2.3 billion.
RollsPack’s award-winning entries, particularly in flexo and gravure, demonstrate advancements in eco-friendly print techniques, contributing to this trend.

Rolls concluded his speech by noting the awards’ significance, stating they represent the ongoing pursuit of pushing print boundaries.
