Stahl completes integration of Weilburger Graphics’ Turkish packaging coatings business

Stahl Kimya will offer an extended range of high-performance, fit-for-the-future coating solutions.

TURKEY — Global speciality coatings supplier Stahl has finalized the integration of Weilburger Graphics’ packaging coatings business in Turkey, strengthening its presence in one of the region’s most dynamic packaging markets.

The transfer, effective 1 December 2025, follows Stahl’s 2024 acquisition of Weilburger Graphics and marks a key step in consolidating its operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Under the integration, the Turkish arm of Weilburger Graphics has been rebranded as Stahl Kimya, which will now handle all packaging coating orders directly.

The company says the consolidation will streamline internal processes, enhance technical support and offer customers a more efficient route to market.

Stahl Kimya will deliver an expanded product portfolio combining Weilburger’s established local capabilities with Stahl’s global technical expertise, backed by more than 140 years of experience in coatings for flexible materials.

Serkan Bekar will remain in his role as sales manager to ensure continuity for customers during the transition.

“Turkey is a strategically important market for Stahl, and the integration of Weilburger Graphics’ activities allows us to serve our local customers with even greater efficiency and innovation,” said Raymond Bakker, EMEA Packaging Coatings Business Director at Stahl.

“By uniting the strengths of both companies, we are creating a stronger organization committed to supporting the fast-evolving needs of the packaging industry.”

Stahl’s coatings are widely used in premium, food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods packaging, offering both high performance and strong visual appeal while emphasizing improvements in environmental impact.

The company continues to invest heavily in water-based and energy-cured coatings that help customers transition toward more sustainable packaging solutions.

The integration in Turkey comes as Stahl continues to expand its global footprint. In 2023, the company agreed to acquire ICP Industrial Solutions Group (ISG), a leading provider of high-performance coating technologies for the packaging and labelling sectors.

ISG, part of the Innovative Chemical Products Group, generates nearly 70% of its sales in North America and is recognized as a technical leader in specialty coatings for food and pharmaceutical packaging.

Stahl said the ISG acquisition aligns with its strategy to become the global leader in specialty coatings for flexible materials, strengthening its offering of advanced, sustainable coatings across multiple markets.

With the integration of Weilburger Graphics’ Turkish business now complete, Stahl is positioning itself to meet rising demand for safer, sustainable and visually compelling packaging in Turkey and beyond.
