POLAND – Stora Enso has invested €30 million ($32.56M) to upgrade and expand its corrugated packaging production in Ostrołęka, Poland, where it already has a strong presence.

Stora Enso’s corrugated products are currently used across various industry segments, including food and beverage, electronics, furniture, and e-commerce.

This investment reinforces Stora Enso’s position as a leading provider of renewable materials, offering new cost-competitive capacity.

The addition of a new 2.8-meter-wide corrugator and other upgrades in Ostrołęka will help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions and improve operational efficiency. The investment will also enhance the company’s integration with its containerboard business.

“We aim to be the first-choice partner for European corrugated packaging solutions. This investment demonstrates our dedication to strengthening our position in this area and serving our customers more efficiently through our modernized production in Poland,” says Ad Smit, EVP Packaging Solutions division, Stora Enso.
