Investment: automation/digital management/QC at Samut Sakhon + Prachin Buri; first project automates corrugated lines, less waste, fewer speed losses.

THAILAND – Thai Packaging Industry PCL has begun trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, listing in the Industrial Goods and Packaging sector under the symbol TIPAK with plans to invest approximately ฿100 million (US$3.06 million) in production technology during 2027.
The investment will cover automation, digital factory management and quality control systems across factories in Samut Sakhon and Prachin Buri.
The first project will convert production lines for corrugated paperboard and corrugated boxes to fully automated operations, which the company expects to lower waste and speed losses.
Automated lines reduce material waste by tightening process control at folding, gluing and cutting stages, where manual adjustment frequently generates offcuts and rejected units.
Data Systems and Quality Upgrades Follow
The second project will introduce data-based factory management systems for real-time monitoring and analysis of production performance.
The third will upgrade quality assurance systems to improve consistency and reliability of the Quality Rate.
Together, these measures aim to lift throughput without expanding physical capacity, addressing a common constraint for packaging producers facing rising input costs and limited room for price increases.
Capacity Exceeds 140,000 Tonnes of Paperboard
As of 30 June 2026, TIPAK’s annual production capacity exceeded 140,000 tonnes of corrugated paperboard and 170 million corrugated boxes.
The company produces corrugated paperboard and boxes for uses including delivery and e-commerce logistics.
It also develops paper packaging made from recycled materials and provides consultancy on packaging design and improvement.
The company is expanding its customer base among industries and factories across Thailand.
Leadership Outlines Efficiency and Product Strategy
Veerachai Monsintorn, chief executive of TIPAK, said the company would focus on upgrading technology to improve production efficiency, developing differentiated high-value products and providing end-to-end solutions tailored to customer requirements.
TIPAK expects the paper packaging industry to grow by 2.9 percent in 2027.
For Thailand’s packaging sector, the listing provides capital to modernise corrugated production as e-commerce fulfilment and industrial demand drive volume growth, while recycled-content formats respond to tightening expectations around packaging waste and material recovery across Southeast Asian markets.
