FRANCE – TNT Group has unveiled an elegant wood case designed to house L’Artisan Parfumeur’s latest ultra-premium perfume, Cuir Grenat.
Based in France, the luxury fragrance house entrusted TNT with creating a packaging solution that would match the sophistication of its 24-carat gold leaf-wrapped bottle.
The result is a meticulously crafted wooden box made from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) covered with real wood veneer, striking a balance between sturdiness and refined aesthetics.
The box opens via two panels connected to the main body by metal hinges, revealing a deep blue interior adorned with a golden crescent moon motif — a nod to the mystique and opulence of the fragrance within.
“We are proud to have contributed to the launch of an ultra-luxury version of one of L’Artisan Parfumeur’s iconic fragrances,” said Lucile Thomas, project manager at TNT Group.
“Our expertise in designing opening coffrets and enhancing decorative elements enables brands to offer their customers truly unique experiences. With this project, we reaffirm our commitment to offering packaging solutions that combine innovation, prestige, and refinement.”
TNT Group, known for its specialization in metal and multi-material packaging for fragrance, makeup, and skincare, offers a broad portfolio that includes caps, shells, luxury boxes, decorative plates, and packaging with applicators.
Their latest collaboration showcases how wood, when expertly finished, can offer personal care brands a luxurious and tactile alternative to more conventional materials — while also signaling sustainability.
In recent years, there has been growing momentum around the use of wood in high-end beauty and fragrance packaging.
Last year, Quadpack introduced its “wood reimagined” concept, which utilized common wood types like ash, enhanced through finishing technologies to mimic exotic species such as wenge. The aim was to deliver the elegance of rare woods while maintaining eco-responsibility.
Denisa Stircea, senior category specialist at Quadpack, noted that the initiative outfitted FSC-certified natural materials with trending finishes, allowing brands to harness the “powerful capacity for storytelling” through packaging.
By blending sustainability with craftsmanship, companies like Quadpack and TNT Group are redefining what luxury packaging can look like in a market increasingly concerned with environmental impact.
As premium brands seek to elevate customer experiences while responding to sustainability demands, wood is emerging as a compelling packaging material — offering both tactile luxury and a narrative of responsibility.
L’Artisan Parfumeur’s latest launch, protected and elevated by TNT’s artisanal craftsmanship, is a prime example of this evolving trend.
