Wanjie India secures advanced 350 Press order at Labelexpo Europe

The WJPS 350 press integrates shaftless offset technology with alcohol dampening and intermittent rotary operation.

INDIA – Wanjie India has announced the sale of its flagship Advanced 350 Intermittent semi-rotary offset press to Pune-based Shreemulti Sticks & Labels during Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona.

The deal was finalized on the exhibition’s opening day, underscoring strong demand for short- and medium-run label printing technology in India.

The purchase marks a significant milestone for Shreemulti Sticks & Labels, a leading producer of barcodes and packaging labels, which is expanding its production capabilities to serve pharmaceutical, FMCG, and logistics markets.

The WJPS 350 press integrates shaftless offset technology with alcohol dampening and intermittent rotary operation, delivering high registration accuracy and smooth performance across varied substrates.

Its short setup times and reduced material waste make it particularly suitable for converters seeking cost-effective solutions for mid-volume jobs.

Rakesh Patel, director of Wanjie India, said, “We presented two of our offset label presses as key exhibits at Labelexpo Europe 2025, and I am delighted to announce that Pune-based Shreemulti Sticks & Labels booked the WJPS 350 on the first day of the show.

“This deal highlights the strength of our technology in meeting the needs of Indian label converters.”

India’s label printing industry is experiencing steady expansion, driven by rising consumer demand, stricter regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals, and rapid growth in packaged goods and e-commerce.

According to market estimates, India’s label printing sector is growing at around 8–10% annually, making it one of the fastest-growing markets globally.

For converters like Shreemulti, investment in advanced presses enables faster turnaround times, higher-quality print runs, and greater flexibility in handling both premium and volume-driven jobs.

Wanjie India was formed through a partnership between Ahmedabad-based Bipin Offset Ltd and Hebei Wanjie Technology Group of China.

Since its inception, the company has steadily expanded its installation base across India, supplying intermittent flexo and offset label presses tailored to short- and mid-level production.

By securing a high-profile order at Labelexpo, Wanjie India reinforces its growing reputation as a competitive supplier in the Indian narrow web printing segment.

The deal also reflects the increasing role of Labelexpo Europe as a platform for technology providers to engage global buyers.

With India emerging as a dynamic market, equipment suppliers are expected to ramp up their offerings of hybrid and automated solutions to meet local demand for efficiency, quality, and cost competitiveness.
