Heidelberg, Printech Park open Bengaluru’s first integrated offset printing, workflow, training hub

INDIA – Heidelberg India has partnered with the Printech Park Cluster to launch India’s first integrated Sheetfed Offset Printing, Workflow and Training Competence Centre at KIADB Industrial Area Harohalli near Bengaluru, establishing a world-class Common Facility Centre designed to serve printers, converters, print buyers, students and industry professionals.

The future-ready facility functions as a Center of Excellence that brings together live production, end-to-end workflow demonstrations, advanced operator training and practical skill development under one roof, accelerating technology adoption while strengthening India’s print manufacturing workforce. 

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of an MoU by CR Janardhana, chairman; Ashok Kumar, vice chairman; and BR Sathya Kumar, GC Member, representing the Printech Park Cluster, along with Upendra Rajadnya, territory manager – lifecycle operations; Robert Joseph, business head – consumables; and BS Chandrashekar, cluster sales head (south) on behalf of Heidelberg India. 

Heidelberg Speedmaster CS 92 and Workflow Solutions for Live Production

The center houses a Heidelberg Speedmaster CS 92 four-colour press with a coating unit, a Suprasetter A 106 Computer-to-Plate (CtP) system, Polar 115 PF cutting machine, and Stahlfolder CH 66 folding equipment. 

Together, these technologies create a seamless workflow from prepress through press and postpress operations, enabling visitors to experience every stage of modern print manufacturing, from pre-press and color management to press operations, finishing and workflow automation.

Speaking on the collaboration, Samir Patkar, president of Heidelberg India, stated that the facility represents a first-of-its-kind opportunity for the Indian printing industry to experience a complete Heidelberg ecosystem under one roof, reinforcing the company’s commitment to driving innovation, productivity, and skill development across the industry. 

CR Janardhana, chairman of the Printech Park Cluster, noted that the center will enable printers and print buyers to access advanced production capabilities, modern workflows, and industry-leading technologies without the need for significant capital investment.
