Mamata Machinery files patent for RecTech recyclable film die, screw design

INDIA – Mamata Machinery has filed a patent application with the Indian Patent Office for a Die and Screw design that forms the core enabling technology behind its RecTech Recyclable Film Technology, strengthening its intellectual property portfolio in the flexible packaging sector.

The filing, announced on 24 August 2026, marks an important step in Mamata Machinery’s efforts to develop advanced solutions for the flexible packaging industry while protecting the intellectual property associated with its technology. 

The company has more than 35 years of experience in the flexible packaging machinery industry and has installed more than 5,400 machines across 80 countries  

Technology Development and Patent Strategy

The Die and Screw design is a fundamental component of RecTech, which is part of the company’s wider technology development programme aimed at addressing changing requirements in flexible packaging, particularly the growing demand for recyclable film manufacturing solutions. 

The patent application reflects the company’s approach of combining engineering development with intellectual property protection as it expands its portfolio of advanced packaging technologies. 

The filing strengthens Mamata Machinery’s technology portfolio as the flexible packaging sector responds to increasing demand for solutions that improve recyclability, production efficiency and material performance.
