The GreenDot-osapiens platform calculates compliance obligations for each country and determines the applicable tariff structure, turning a fragmented manual process into an automated workflow.

EUROPE – GreenDot has partnered with osapiens to develop an AI-powered software platform that automates EPR and PPWR reporting across EU member states, using supplier data gathering and pre-built national system interfaces to replace manual, country-by-country compliance work.
The platform combines GreenDot’s expertise in European packaging licensing and producer responsibility systems with the osapiens HUB platform.
The software uses AI-supported workflows to collect packaging data from suppliers, validate it against regulatory requirements, and update it as packaging designs change.
For a multinational brand with thousands of SKUs, tracking recyclability and recycled content across 27 countries manually is labour-intensive and error-prone. The platform automates that process.
The Compliance Problem the Platform Solves
The EU’s PPWR and national EPR laws create a patchwork of requirements across 27 member states.
A brand selling packaged goods in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain must register separately with each country’s EPR scheme, report packaging volumes individually, and pay fees calculated on different bases.
The GreenDot-osapiens platform calculates compliance obligations for each country and determines the applicable tariff structure, turning a fragmented manual process into an automated workflow.
GreenDot CEO Laurent Auguste stated that companies are increasingly concerned about the complexity and cost of administering EPR compliance under the PPWR, and that together with osapiens, the company is bringing to market the smart digital solution the industry has been calling for, a simple one-stop shop for EPR reporting across Europe that enables compliance management in a far more cost-effective, efficient, and scalable way.
How the Platform Works
The software links with national registration systems and EPR schemes via pre-built interfaces, eliminating the need for custom integrations for each country.
It gathers packaging data from supplier systems, checks it against regulatory requirements, and updates it as packaging designs change.
GreenDot’s role in the software venture could support high-margin growth and add to its current activities in the European plastics recycling sector, according to Agilyx.
Under the revenue-sharing agreement, both companies will market the platform together, aligning their interests in driving adoption.
Why This Matters for Brand Owners
For packaging converters and brand owners, the platform offers a single subscription for compliance across multiple countries, reducing the cost of managing separate EPR service providers.
Stefan Wawrzinek, co-founder and chairman of osapiens, commented that EPR compliance under the PPWR is becoming one of the most complex cross-border challenges for producers and brand owners across Europe, and that with GreenDot, the companies are combining the regulatory depth and market reach this challenge requires with AI-powered platform infrastructure to solve it at scale.
