With Algeria seeking to harness its manufacturing potential for regional expansion and reduce dependency on imported packaging materials, the packaging sector has risen to prominence within its industrial strategy.

ALGERIA – ACS Holding’s subsidiary Tonic Industrie has completed its fourth export shipment of over 500,000 packaging units to Tunisia this year, reinforcing Algeria’s broader strategy to diversify non-hydrocarbon exports and strengthen regional trade.
The shipment, comprising high-quality packaging and wrapping products transported on four trucks, was delivered in accordance with contractual commitments and scheduled timelines.
ACS Holding stated that the operation demonstrates increasing confidence among foreign commercial partners in the quality and competitiveness of Algerian manufactured goods while supporting the government’s strategy to expand non-energy exports and diversify the national economy.
The latest transaction forms part of Tonic Industrie’s 2026 export programme, reflecting the subsidiary’s sustained commercial activity and the growing presence of Algerian industrial products across regional markets.
Packaging and Wrapping Products Drive Algerian Export Momentum
The shipment of more than 500,000 units of high-quality packaging and wrapping products underscores ACS Holding’s expanding regional footprint.
The company has been actively working to strengthen the position of Algerian products on regional markets, with this latest operation following three previous successful exports to Tunisia this year.
The packaging sector has emerged as a key component of Algeria’s industrial strategy as the country seeks to leverage its manufacturing capabilities to capture regional market share and reduce dependence on imported packaging materials.
GIPEC’s Corrugated Cardboard Export to Mauritania Highlights Group Momentum
The Tonic Industrie shipment follows another significant export milestone announced by the holding company only a day earlier.
GIPEC Group, through its subsidiary SACAR, completed the export of more than 80,000 corrugated cardboard units to Mauritania, marking the group’s return to international markets for the product after an interruption of more than eight years.
Taken together, the successive export operations illustrate the accelerating commercial momentum across ACS Holding’s industrial portfolio and highlight the company’s growing contribution to Algeria’s strategy of expanding value-added manufacturing exports while reinforcing the country’s ambition to strengthen the regional competitiveness of Made in Algeria products.
Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon trade push aligns with the country’s broader industrial transformation strategy, with the chemical and packaging sectors identified as priority areas for investment and export growth.
