UK – German packaging solutions manufacturer All4Labels has completed the acquisition of UK-based digital packaging assets supplier Springfield Solutions.
The deal follows the acquisition of Olympus Print Group in the UK, with plans to further expand in the country.
The companies have not disclosed the financial details and other terms and conditions of this transaction. The deal is subject to certain customary closing conditions.
Following this transaction, Springfield Solutions will become a subsidiary of All4Labels Group.
According to All4Labels, the acquisition will not affect the owners and management team of Springfield Solutions, who will continue to manage their business while accelerating the growth of All4Labels in the UK market.
All4Labels COO Günther Weymans said: “We are happy to welcome the entire Springfield Solutions team as new members of the All4Labels Global Packaging Group.
“We believe that Springfield Solutions with their vision to be a world leader in the supply of innovative and sustainable digital packaging assets complements our digital business perfectly.
“With both our sites in the UK All4Labels will now be able to offer a wider range of products and services to an even broader range of customers both locally and on an international level.”
With this acquisition, All4Labels Global Packaging Group, which incorporates All4Graphics, aims to expand its global growth strategy.
The transaction also supports All4Labels’ sustainable investments plan to facilitate its long-term growth, professionalization, innovation and cross-regional expansion in the European, as well as global markets.
Springfield managing director Matt Dass added: “We are extremely excited to join the All4Labels Global Packaging Group, from our very first discussion it was clear that our vision, mission and values are completely aligned.
“Partnering with All4Labels and its packaging design unit All4Graphics will accelerate our joint vision of being the world leader in the supply of sustainable, digital packaging assets.”
HB Fuller makes two strategic acquisitions
Meanwhile, US-based adhesives manufacturing company, H.B. Fuller has made two strategic acquisitions in the US and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The company has acquired US-based medical adhesives business Adhezion Biomedical and UAE-based adhesives manufacturer XCHEM International.
Adhezion specializes in manufacturing and distributing advanced wound closure and infection prevention adhesives to customers in 40 countries. It has more than 35 global certifications and 105 patents.
This addition offers vertically integrated adhesive manufacturing and packaging capabilities to HB while enhancing its capability in the topical skin bonding market and driving its further expansion in the medical adhesives industry.
Meanwhile, XCHEM provides a range of specialty adhesives and coatings for industrial and infrastructure applications in the construction markets of the Middle East and North Africa.
The company will be HB’s first manufacturing presence for HB’s flagship Foster brand outside the US.
Following the acquisition, Adhezion will be integrated with HB’s Hygiene, Health, and Consumable Adhesives global business, while XCHEM will operate within HB’s CA global business unit.
The two companies are expected to contribute approximately US$17m to revenue and US$2m to adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in this financial year.
HB president and CEO Celeste Mastin said: “We aspire to supply our customers with drops, not trucks, of material.
“As we further penetrate highly specified applications through new technologies and reduce the amount of material our customers need through innovation in existing, higher volume segments, we create value for our customers and investors.”
