Domino appoints Michael Strehlow to strengthen corrugated packaging focus

In a separate move, Domino Printing Sciences has named Michael Strehlow as its new Account Manager, Corrugated for the EMEA region, underscoring its strategic commitment to the corrugated packaging sector.

Strehlow brings over 30 years of industry experience, including roles at HEIDELBERG, Kongsberg, and Konica Minolta.

He has a broad background in both traditional and digital printing technologies—spanning offset, flexographic, digital printing, as well as post-press and converting processes.

In his new position, Strehlow will collaborate with packaging manufacturers to explore how Domino’s digital print technologies—especially for corrugated packaging—can unlock new efficiencies and market opportunities.

Among Domino’s flagship offerings is the X630i digital corrugated press, which delivers up to 4,500 sheets per hour, and features one of the smallest footprints and lowest ink consumption rates in the market.

The X630i uses a proprietary aqueous ink set that enables high-quality printing on both coated and uncoated corrugated boards—without the need for primer or bonding agents.

David Ellen, Divisional Director of Digital Printing Solutions at Domino, remarked, “Brands are increasingly seeking impactful packaging with fast turnaround to stand out in competitive markets.

“Domino helps converters meet this demand through shorter, digital print runs while boosting efficiency. We’re excited to welcome Michael and believe his expertise will be a strong asset for converters embracing digital transformation.”
