APPLIED Adhesives wins exclusive US packaging distribution rights for Henkel’s flexible packaging portfolio

USA – APPLIED Adhesives has entered an exclusive US distribution partnership with Henkel’s Packaging Adhesives business, combining Henkel’s adhesive and coating technologies with APPLIED’s sales, technical support and logistics operations for flexible packaging converters.

The exclusive arrangement, announced on 8 July 2026, covers Henkel’s portfolio of flexible packaging adhesives and coatings, which has operated in the flexible packaging market for more than 30 years. 

APPLIED will provide local inventory and nationwide distribution, while Henkel’s proven technologies support converters in the food and beverage, health and beauty, and pet product markets. 

Henkel Adhesive Technologies flexible packaging business director James Cooley stated that APPLIED’s strong reputation as an adhesive distributor, equipment provider and technical partner makes it an ideal channel partner for Henkel in the US market.

The partnership strengthens technical support and supply chain efficiency for flexible packaging manufacturers. 

APPLIED provides hands-on technical service and application guidance from initial evaluations through full-scale production to ensure consistent performance on the line. 

Lisa Fieldhouse, APPLIED’s director of market development, stated that the partnership represents an important step forward as the company continues to invest in growth opportunities that deliver meaningful value to customers. 

The collaboration is particularly significant for midmarket flexible packaging converters seeking proven technology and responsive supply without the complexity of large direct-only models. 

The partnership also supports the industry’s growing demand for sustainable and compliant packaging solutions. 

The arrangement follows APPLIED’s 2025 acquisition by private equity firm Bertram Capital  and its previous acquisition of UK-based Interlock Adhesives, a Henkel Premium Partner.

The initial focus will be on converters in flexible packaging serving the food and drink, health and beauty, and pet product markets. 

The partnership is expected to be rolled out across the US flexible packaging market, with APPLIED supporting converters through its national sales and technical service network.

As food manufacturers and consumer goods companies continue investing in recyclable and high-performance packaging, the collaboration is positioned to strengthen access to Henkel’s adhesive technologies while supporting evolving packaging requirements.
