The Directional Snap Top offers controlled dispensing.

USA – Aptar Closures has broadened its portfolio of sauce dispensing solutions, unveiling a new line designed to improve hygiene, functionality, and shelf appeal as brands compete for consumer attention in the condiments market.
The expanded range includes the Tower, Tab Top, Directional Snap Top, and the Ecolite Directional Pour Spout.
According to the company, the solutions are engineered to help brands enhance consumer experience while supporting efficient, scalable production for global markets.
“Our solutions are driven by our understanding of market trends and consumer insights, and we are thrilled to expand our portfolio to conveniently deliver new sauces from our customers that address evolving consumer tastes and dispensing needs around the world,” said Katie Schomberg, food market director at Aptar Closures.
Aptar’s latest consumer study shows that sauce bottles and their closures play a “substantial” role in purchase decisions.
Shoppers reportedly prioritize closures that are not only visually appealing but also hygienic and functional, with strong interest in portion control and mess-free dispensing.
The Tower model incorporates a flip-top design that avoids direct contact with the spout, providing what Aptar calls a more hygienic experience than traditional twist-open caps. Designed for spicy sauces and oils, it also supports convenient one-handed use.
The Tab Top closure is built for precise dispensing and is compatible with both thin and thick sauces. Available in 33–400 and 38–400 sizes, it can also be colour-customized to enhance brand visibility on shelves.
For brands seeking differentiation, the Directional Snap Top offers controlled dispensing, multiple orifice options, and what the company describes as a “unique aesthetic” suited to a wide range of sauce categories.
Meanwhile, the Ecolite Directional Pour Spout emphasises sustainability. The lightweight closure uses less material without compromising performance, helping brands reduce plastic usage while maintaining convenience.
The expansion follows a series of moves by Aptar to strengthen its dispensing and packaging capabilities. In recent months, the company launched its Trigger Spray Pump, a fully plastic, recyclable solution for the home care sector.
Aptar CSP Technologies also opened a new medical packaging facility in New Jersey, US, boosting its cGMP-compliant manufacturing capacity.
Earlier this year, Aptar introduced a trio of tamper-evident, recyclable sports beverage closures at Drinktec 2025.
These advanced solutions, NexTE, Rocket, and Balance, are designed to align with the European Union’s Single-Use Plastics Directive and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
