Aptar’s NeoDropper Autoload makes commercial debut with Dermalogica skincare launch

New auto-loading dosing dropper delivers precise dispensing and enhanced user experience for premium skincare applications.

USA – Aptar has commercially launched its NeoDropper Autoload dosing system through a partnership with skincare brand Dermalogica, marking the first market application of the company’s new auto-loading dropper technology.

The innovative dispensing solution debuts with Dermalogica’s FutureCode Booster, a premium serum formulated to address daily DNA-related skin damage and visible signs of ageing.

Designed for skincare and dermocosmetic applications, NeoDropper Autoload targets brands seeking greater dispensing accuracy, improved hygiene and a more intuitive consumer experience.

The system incorporates a twist-and-push activation mechanism combined with an auto-loading cap that reloads the applicator after every use, enabling consumers to dispense a consistent dose with each application.

According to Aptar, the technology is engineered to improve dosage precision while minimizing product waste. A specially designed dip tube allows users to access more of the product inside the bottle, helping reduce residual formula left at the end of the product’s lifecycle.

The commercial launch further strengthens the long-standing partnership between Aptar and Dermalogica, which have collaborated on dispensing innovations in recent years.

In 2022, Dermalogica became the first skincare brand to adopt Aptar’s Future dispensing pump, a mono-material polyethylene solution, for its cleansing product range, supporting improved recyclability through simplified packaging design.

Manuela DeForge, Packaging Engineering Manager at Dermalogica, said the new dispensing system has been well received by consumers.

“FutureCode Booster has been positively received by consumers, particularly for its dispensing performance, ease of use and overall user experience,” she said.

“Feedback highlights the value of delivering a consistent dose in a controlled and hygienic manner, demonstrating how thoughtful packaging design can enhance both product performance and everyday usability.”

The introduction reflects growing demand within the beauty and personal care sector for dispensing systems that improve dosing accuracy while enhancing convenience and minimizing product waste.

Premium skincare brands are increasingly investing in advanced packaging technologies that combine functionality with improved consumer experience, particularly for high-value formulations where precise application is essential.

The launch also builds on Aptar’s continued expansion of its beauty packaging portfolio. Earlier this month, the company introduced a new range of closures for beauty, personal care and home care products designed for e-commerce distribution.

The collection includes the Embrace, E-Simplicity, Future Disc Top and E-Disc Top closures, developed to improve product protection and consumer convenience during online retail fulfillment.

As brands continue to differentiate themselves through innovative packaging, precision dispensing technologies are becoming an increasingly important component of premium product positioning, helping improve usability, reduce waste and support more sustainable product consumption.
