INDIA – Ardee Industries has launched its ₹425.87 crore (US$5.1 million) IPO for subscription on August 5, 2026, at a price band of ₹50–53 (US$0.60–0.63) per share, with strong investor interest reflected in a grey market premium that suggests a potential listing gain of approximately 13 percent.
The book-built issue closes on August 7, comprising a fresh issue of ₹320 crore (US$3.8 million) and an offer for sale of ₹105.87 crore (US$1.3 million).
Founded in 1993, the Andhra Pradesh-based company operates a 7.61-acre zero-discharge facility in Tirupati with an installed recycling capacity of 1,04,025 metric tonnes per annum.
IPO Structure and Key Details
Retail investors must bid for a minimum lot of 281 shares, requiring an investment of ₹14,893 (US$178) at the upper band.
Qualified Institutional Buyers will receive up to 50 percent of the net issue, retail investors up to 35 percent, and non-institutional investors at least 15 percent.
The allotment is expected to be finalised on August 10, with listing on BSE and NSE scheduled for August 12.
Pantomath Capital Advisors is the book-running lead manager, while KFin Technologies serves as registrar.
Financial Performance and Market Position
The lead recycling company reported total income of ₹1,168.88 crore (US$14.0 million) in FY26, up 57 percent year-on-year, while profit after tax surged 155 percent to ₹84.68 crore (US$1.01 million).
Exports to seven countries contribute significantly to revenue, with the company holding approximately 1.5–2.09 percent of India’s recycled lead ingot market.
The company specialises in high-purity lead and customised lead alloys, including lead-calcium, lead-antimony, lead-tin, lead-silver, and lead-cadmium variants, serving the energy storage, electric mobility, automotive, and chemical sectors.
Use of Proceeds and Industry Context
The company will deploy ₹220 crore (US$2.6 million) from the fresh issue towards incremental working capital requirements and ₹20 crore (US$239,500) for debt repayment.
With over 80 percent of India’s lead demand already met through secondary (recycled) sources, Ardee operates in a strategically important segment of the circular economy, well-positioned to benefit from the rapid adoption of electric vehicles and the government’s push for rooftop solar power generation.
