Arty Labels installs PRPC 330 UV digital press in Mumbai for spot UV, foiling without lamination

The PRPC 330 UV digital system applies UV-curable inkjet for spot effects, building gloss or metallic finishes directly on the label without raised tooling costs.

INDIA – Arty Labels has installed a PRPC 330 UV digital inkjet label printing and finishing system at its Mumbai facility, an all-in-one press handling WCMYK plus varnish with integrated digital die-cutting and slitting, enabling spot UV, foiling, and varnishing in a single pass without lamination.

The compact press handles a range of substrates including PP white, PP silver, PP clear, PE white, and PE clear, designed for short-to-medium-run label production managed by a single operator.

The single-pass configuration covers printing, spot UV, varnishing, foiling, and die-cutting, eliminating the need for separate lamination steps that add time and material cost.

Short-Run Capabilities Without Compromise

Traditional spot UV and foiling require separate screen-printing or foil stamping steps, often with dedicated tooling that makes short runs uneconomical.

The PRPC 330 UV digital system applies UV-curable inkjet for spot effects, building gloss or metallic finishes directly on the label without raised tooling costs.

For converters serving pharmaceutical, garment, jewelry, and FMCG customers, the ability to run short-run specialty labels without lamination reduces both turnaround time and minimum order quantities.

Nilesh Patel, director of Arty Labels, explained that after the installation of the digital inkjet label printing and print enhancement machine, the company has enormously enhanced its spot UV and foiling jobs.

He noted that the digital inkjet press can outstandingly do spot UV and foiling without any lamination, and that it is a machine with a small footprint that effortlessly handles big jobs.

A Flexible Portfolio

Arty Labels also operates flexographic presses at its facility, producing labels, rolls, ribbons, and tags for pharmaceutical, garment, jewelry, and FMCG customers.

The addition of the PRPC 330 UV adds digital capacity for shorter runs, while the existing flexo lines continue to serve high-volume orders.

This hybrid approach allows the converter to match press technology to run length without forcing short jobs onto equipment designed for long runs.

Local Support and Upgrade Path

Packnology supplied and installed the system.

Brijesh Puri, founder of Packnology, stated that the PRPC 330 UV is made for multiple tasks in one system, which a single operator can manage easily.

He noted that as clients’ production volumes grow, Packnology provides a seamless upgrade path to advanced Haotian systems.

When the Press Does It All in One Pass

A label that requires spot UV, foil, and varnish used to travel across three machines.

Arty Labels’ PRPC 330 UV collapses that workflow into one pass, one operator, and zero lamination.

For short-run specialty labels, that integration is not incremental, it is a production rethink.
