KWAL introduces premium 750ml glass bottle for Caprice Wine

New glass packaging enhances the heritage wine brand’s premium appeal while complementing its existing Tetra Pak offering.

KENYA – Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) has officially launched a new 750ml glass bottle for its heritage Caprice Wine brand, expanding its packaging portfolio with a premium format designed to enhance consumer appeal and strengthen the brand’s position in the wine market.

The new bottle offers a more elegant and contemporary presentation while preserving the quality and taste that have defined the Caprice brand over the years.

According to KWAL, the 750ml glass bottle complements the brand’s existing 1-litre Tetra Pak format, giving consumers greater choice to suit different occasions and consumption preferences.

The introduction of the glass bottle reflects growing demand for premium packaging in the alcoholic beverages sector, where packaging plays an increasingly important role in shaping consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions.

While the new format delivers a more sophisticated look and feel, KWAL emphasized that consumers will continue to enjoy the same Caprice wine they are familiar with, with only the packaging changing.

The launch is expected to strengthen the brand’s presence across retail outlets, restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues, where glass packaging is often preferred for premium positioning and on-premise consumption.

Across the beverage industry, manufacturers are increasingly diversifying packaging formats to address evolving consumer lifestyles and retail channels.

While carton packaging remains popular for convenience, affordability and portability, glass bottles continue to command strong appeal in premium segments due to their quality perception, recyclability and suitability for gifting and special occasions.

The move also reflects broader innovation within the wine industry, where producers are balancing convenience-driven formats such as cartons and pouches with premium glass packaging to reach a wider consumer base.

By offering multiple packaging options, brands can cater to different market segments while strengthening visibility across both modern retail and hospitality channels.

For KWAL, the addition of the 750ml glass bottle reinforces Caprice Wine’s heritage while aligning the brand with evolving consumer expectations for premium presentation, allowing it to compete more effectively in Kenya’s growing wine market.
