EUROPE – Berry Global Group, Inc., a prominent leader in patient-centered healthcare solutions, has made significant investments to expand its manufacturing capabilities across Europe, aiming to boost healthcare production capacity by up to 30% at three key sites.

This investment follows the recent inauguration of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and healthcare center of excellence in Bangalore, India, demonstrating Berry’s steadfast commitment to delivering top-quality packaging and drug delivery devices that enhance patient experiences and medication adherence.

Walid Hamza, EVP Global Healthcare at Berry Global, emphasized the company’s dedication to advancing pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery devices alongside medical innovations.

“As pharmaceutical breakthroughs evolve, so must the packaging and delivery systems. Berry Global is at the forefront of designing patient-centric solutions that optimize medication administration,” said Hamza.

Strategically situated near pharmaceutical manufacturing and filling hubs, Berry’s sites in Offranville, France, and Osnago, Italy are well-positioned to ensure rapid response times and localized service.

The Offranville site specializes in manufacturing standard and custom solutions for pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery devices, including ophthalmic and nasal products such as the Rispharm multi-dose eye dropper.

Recent investments in this site include the installation of a new cleanroom production facility meeting ISO7 standards to cater to growing market demands, particularly as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO).

Meanwhile, investments at Berry’s Osnago and Sirone sites support the rising demand for orally-administered prescription and over-the-counter solutions for respiratory diseases and infections driven by increasing air pollution levels.

In another development, Berry Global recently announced the acquisition of F&S Tool, a specialized provider of high-efficiency hot runner injection and compression molding applications.

This acquisition bolsters Berry’s global tooling capability and brings proprietary technologies in closures and bottles, targeting high-growth markets.

Kevin Kwilinski, Chief Executive Officer of Berry Global, emphasized the strategic synergy created by this acquisition.

“The integration of F&S Tool’s innovation capabilities with Berry’s global operations underscores our commitment to offering industry-leading products in core markets while ensuring local service and speed,” said Kwilinski.

As a leader in sustainable plastic packaging, Berry Global Tooling Services offers comprehensive expertise and support through its extensive network of global tooling manufacturing locations.

This ensures customers benefit from a full suite of tooling capabilities integrated seamlessly into their product orders, enhancing efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
