UK – Celebration Packaging has unveiled a collection of tamper-evident packaging solutions under its foodservice packaging brand, SolutionWare.

This innovative range comprises sandwich packs, rectangular salad containers with hinged lids, and deli containers with separate lids, all crafted from a minimum of 30% recycled PET (rPET).

According to Nick Burton, Managing Director of Celebration Packaging, “Our new ranges of high-clarity tamper-evident food containers feature a patented safety lock lid, ensuring tamper-proof protection for prepared foods.

“These new ranges are crafted with a minimum of 30% post-consumer rPET, exempting them from the plastic packaging tax. Once utilized, the packaging can be rinsed and recycled through curbside collection.”

In addition to tamper-evident containers, the SolutionWare brand offers a comprehensive array of foodservice packaging solutions, encompassing hot and cold drink cups, platters, trays, bar accessories, and more.

The company’s PrintPac brand specializes in custom print and bespoke packaging options, while its EnviroWare segment focuses on pioneering sustainable food and beverage packaging solutions.

The tamper-evident rPET containers, available in various sizes, contain a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled plastic, rendering them exempt from the plastic packaging tax.

Emphasizing the significance of tamper-evident packaging, Burton underscored its pivotal role in preserving product integrity, preventing contamination, and ensuring freshness.

“Tamper-evident food packaging serves as a crucial safeguard, providing a visible indicator of whether the container has been tampered with or compromised. It serves to safeguard against contamination and uphold the quality and freshness of the product,” remarked Burton.

Beyond their functional benefits, the high-clarity rPET solutions elevate product presentation and contribute to a positive consumer experience.

Burton concluded, “By prioritizing tamperproof protection for food while selecting packaging derived from recycled materials that can be recycled, operators can bolster their reputation.”

In a bid to further their commitment to sustainability, Celebration Packaging introduced a new line of sustainable bamboo fiber hot drink cups under its EnviroWare brand last year.

These insulated, double-wall cups are crafted using bamboo fiber with a water-based lining, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and commercially compostable.

According to Nick Burton, “In the realm of foodservice, cafes, and food-to-go establishments, there is a growing demand for sustainable solutions. With regulations and taxes looming, consumers are increasingly eschewing single-use plastic products.”
