Coveris will present its range of recyclable packaging solutions for grated, block, and sliced cheese, designed to maintain full shelf-life performance and product quality.

UK – Coveris, a Leading European packaging company, will showcase its latest advancements in recyclable cheese packaging at the 2025 International Cheese and Dairy Awards (ICDA), taking place on Wednesday, 25th and Thursday, 26th of June, at the Staffordshire Country Showground.
Coveris will present its range of recyclable packaging solutions for grated, block, and sliced cheese, designed to maintain full shelf-life performance and product quality.
The latest advancement comes after MonoFlexBE, Coveris’ award-winning packaging for grated cheese.
MonoFlexBE, a pioneering fully recyclable polyethene (PE) monolaminate for cheese, is a first of its kind. It is already adopted by leading UK retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and ASDA.
MonoFlexBE offers the same high-barrier performance as conventional non-recyclable packaging while delivering a shelf life of up to 120 days.
It is designed with PE-based mono-material, offering a significant reduction in plastic weight and carbon emissions, a reduced carbon footprint, and is fully recyclable through back-to-store collection schemes.
Additionally, Coveris will also showcase PolyFlex, a major advancement in mixed polyolefin packaging.
PolyFlex is Made from a mixed polyolefin structure, providing a recyclable alternative to nylon laminates.
PolyFlex enables manufacturers to adopt a recyclable packaging solution for block cheese, providing high barrier protection and optimal product performance without compromise.
PolyFlex, a recyclable alternative to nylon laminates, not only provides high barrier protection and optimal product performance for block cheese but also delivers substantial environmental savings. These include reductions in carbon footprint and weight, all while maintaining product quality and shelf life.
PolyFlex’s potential was recognised with the Best New Concept Award at the UK Packaging Awards 2024.
Coveris will also showcase its latest innovations in sliced cheese packaging, which includes PolyFlex to MonoFlex base web, a complete recyclable mono-material solution that can be disposed of together through back-to-store schemes.
Furthermore, Coveris will showcase its peelable lidding film, which is compatible with a range of existing base webs, referred to as MonoFlexBE lidding, offering manufacturers a recyclable solution.
All visitors are warmly invited to the ICDA on Wednesday, the 25th, and Thursday, the 26th of June, to explore Coveris’ latest innovations and complete packaging offer for cheese at the Staffordshire County Showground.
