UK – Dantex Group has relaunched its widely popular, compact PicoColour press, now upgraded with advanced technology to deliver high-quality printing at an accessible price.

Designed for businesses looking to enter digital production, the modernized PicoColour offers a compelling solution with enhanced features while maintaining its small footprint.

Building on a decade of success, the latest PicoColour retains the form factor of its predecessor but now incorporates cutting-edge technology for improved performance.

The press remains compact and user-friendly, integrating key features from Dantex’s flagship PicoJet, such as an expanded color gamut, superwhite, supertext, and supertact capabilities. Additionally, it offers a range of optional in-line compact finishing solutions.

Manufactured entirely in the UK to Zone 1 standards, including CE and UL certifications, the new PicoColour achieves print speeds of up to 50 meters per minute while ensuring high engineering and quality control standards.

With over 80% of its supply chain sourced from the UK, the press guarantees reliability and meticulous build quality.

Dantex has also optimized maintenance to reduce operational costs, ensuring the press remains economical for entry-level users.

As part of the broader Pico range, the new PicoColour is built on a unified technology platform, streamlining training, support, and workflow integration for businesses managing multiple presses.

Customer feedback played a vital role in refining PicoColour’s design. The press now prints at 254 mm width and features a fully integrated finishing system, including shuttle-based die-cutting, lamination, matrix removal, and edge trimming—all while maintaining its compact footprint.

From a sustainability perspective, this optimized design reduces material waste and enhances efficiency.

The industry has responded with enthusiasm to PicoColour’s return. Pre-sales have already begun, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2025.

Customers eager to see the upgraded press in action can experience it firsthand at Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona this September. It will also be showcased at Dantex’s global demo centers for customer visits.

“The original PicoColour was a huge success, and demand has remained strong, even in the second-hand market,” said Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group.

“We knew the time was right to bring it back—only this time, it’s even better. It’s modernized, more efficient, built with the latest technology, and entirely made in the UK. Customers can trust that our quality standards and service remain uncompromised.

“The response so far has been remarkable, confirming the need for a high-performance, entry-level UV inkjet press. With the new PicoColour, we are delivering exactly that.”
