DTM Print unveils advanced LX4000e color label printer

GERMANY – DTM Print, a leading international OEM provider of specialty printing systems, has launched the LX4000e Color Label Printer, the latest addition to its LX-Series of inkjet label printers. 

Manufactured by Primera Technology, the LX4000e builds on the proven technology of previous models such as the LX910e and LX3000e.

It features large, individual ink tanks and a reusable thermal inkjet printhead. With a native resolution of 1200 dpi and a maximum print resolution of 1200 dpi x 4800 dpi, it can produce labels up to 210mm (8.25in) wide and 610mm (24in) long, at speeds of up to 114mm (4.5in) per second.

Each CMY ink tank holds 60ml (2oz) of ink, while the pre-primed, reusable printheads contain an additional 42ml (1.4oz), providing a total of 222ml (7.5oz) of ink from the start.

Both dye and pigment ink versions are available as separate SKUs, with replacement tanks designed for easy installation and self-priming for minimal downtime. 

The Big Ink system enhances brightness, durability, and optical density, using process black ink for deeper tones and sharper contrast.

Unlike carbon black inks, process black offers improved water and chemical resistance, greater compatibility with specialty label media, and enhanced smear resistance, ensuring labels remain crisp in various environments.

A key feature of the LX4000e is Primera’s ClearView external ink tank system, which allows users to monitor ink levels without opening the printer cover. This minimizes interruptions and maximizes productivity.

Designed for high-volume label printing, the LX4000e can handle up to 7,500 labels per day, while its powder-coated steel cover and all-steel frame provide durability for demanding work environments such as offices, warehouses, and factories.

Seamless connectivity & compatibility

The LX4000e supports Windows 10/11+ and the latest macOS operating systems, with Ethernet and USB 2.0 wired connections.

Windows users can also enable wireless connectivity using an affordable Ethernet-to-wireless adapter.

DTM Print provides free label design software, including BarTender UltraLite DTM Edition and NiceLabel Free DTM Edition for Windows, and Swift Publisher for Mac.

Customers also receive a three-year warranty, technical support through local partners, and access to Genuine DTM Label Stock, a wide range of approved label substrates.

The LX4000e Color Label Printer is available for €3,595 (US$3,730) MSRP through DTM Print and authorized partners across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
