UK – GXO Logistics, a specialized contract logistics provider, has prolonged its agreement with health and beauty enterprise Avon, expanding their ongoing collaboration involving co-packing and value-added services.

This strategic partnership between the two entities has endured for the past 15 years.

Within this extended alliance, GXO shoulders the responsibility of facilitating various operational aspects for Avon, encompassing the distribution of products from Avon’s factory located across Europe, Africa, and Asia to over 50 European countries.

Operating out of its Garwolin site in Poland, GXO meticulously manages these multifaceted Avon operations.

The Garwolin facility serves as the backbone for GXO’s support of Avon’s omnichannel pursuits and provision of co-packing services, including specialized labeling and QR codes.

Complementary services such as warehousing and manufacturing support are also integral components of GXO’s offerings to Avon.

Further enhancing its value proposition, GXO has designated 2,000m² of space for comprehensive value-added services, encompassing gift wrapping and personalized holiday messaging on decorative cards.

Jean Luc Bessade, Managing Director of GXO for Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania, emphasized their commitment to accommodating Avon’s dynamic requirements.

He underscored GXO’s pivotal role in Avon’s regulatory adaptations and the provision of value-added services. Bessade expressed anticipation for further expansions and continual fortification of their partnership based on quality service, transparent communication, and collaborative efforts.

Moreover, GXO underscored its dedication to sustainable practices at the Garwolin site, actively contributing to a circular economy by minimizing waste generation and effectively reusing materials such as cardboard.

GXO’s environmentally conscious measures involve recycling 97% of packaging waste paper and approximately 90% of plastic film, leveraging electronic documentation to curtail printed paperwork.

Andrew Wills, Senior Manager of Avon Logistics, lauded GXO as an exemplary partner since 2008, emphasizing their shared mission to empower women through entrepreneurship and innovation.

Wills highlighted GXO’s pivotal role in fortifying the partnership, attributing their value-added services and significant contributions to Avon’s attainment of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals.

Last month, GXO extended its distribution partnership with UK-based supermarket chain Waitrose & Partners.

Under the terms of the new agreement, which includes multi-service regional and national distribution, GXO will continue to operate two key distribution hubs located inside the retailer’s Milton Keynes campus in the UK.

GXO deploys more than 860 team members at the 950,000ft² Magna Park national distribution center, picking and dispatching nearly 85 million cases a year.

The logistic provider also deployed more than 810 team members at the 320,000ft² Brinklow regional distribution center.
