Under this agreement, Enviroserve will implement smart e-waste collection bins, skips, and recycling points

DUBAI – Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities management services, has partnered with Enviroserve Services, the region’s premier recycling and resource recovery company, to enhance e-waste collection and reduce carbon emissions in Dubai.
According to a recent announcement, the collaboration focuses on deploying smart e-waste collection bins, skips, and recycling points across Imdaad’s client facilities, primarily in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA).
The partnership is expected to divert approximately 80 to 100 tons of electronic waste and over 150 tons of dry recyclables from landfills within the first year, achieving potential carbon savings of about 540 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent.
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision and Circular Economy Policy, emphasizing responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.
“Sustainable waste management is a cornerstone of future-ready cities. Our collaboration with Enviroserve is a pivotal move toward achieving the UAE’s sustainability goals,” Mahmood Rasheed, Chief Operating Officer of Imdaad, said.
“By integrating cutting-edge recycling technologies, we empower our clients to minimize their environmental impact while promoting accountability and innovation.”
In addition, Shashidhar Y S, Board Member and Managing Director of Enviroserve, highlighted that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to sustainability.
“Each ton of e-waste we recycle prevents hazardous dumping and recovers valuable materials like copper and aluminum. Together, we’re transforming waste into tangible environmental benefits.”
Beyond operational efforts, the collaboration includes joint awareness campaigns, co-branded digital content, and participation in sustainability-focused industry events to engage corporate tenants and the broader community in adopting transparent recycling practices.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) governing this partnership is set for an initial 12-month period, with provisions for renewal, mutual confidentiality, and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
A report by the Dubai Media Office highlights a complementary initiative involving Imdaad and JAFZA, which has reduced landfill waste by 37% in nine months through a Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) plant.
This facility, processing 150 tons of waste daily, has generated 312 million kWh of renewable energy, further supporting the UAE’s circular economy ambitions.
The RDF plant, part of the FARZ joint venture, aims to divert over 80% of waste from landfills by 2026, reinforcing the region’s commitment to sustainable practices.
