The new format generates 20.1% fewer CO₂ emissions, achieved through cardboard and sachet material reductions
SOUTH AFRICA – Jacobs Coffee has unveiled a refreshed and expanded 3in1 coffee range, introducing new flavour options and an improved formulation to meet the changing preferences of South African coffee lovers.
The brand’s latest move caters to the growing demand for convenience, variety, and health-conscious choices while aligning with sustainable packaging goals.
Packed in single-use sachets for on-the-go convenience, the Jacobs 3in1 range now features four distinct variants, each crafted to cater to a variety of taste preferences.
3in1 Mild offers a smooth, mellow coffee experience with a gentle touch of sweetness, making it the ideal choice for those who enjoy a softer, more subtle brew.
For those who prefer a stronger cup, 3in1 Strong delivers a bold and intense flavour profile, providing a rich, full-bodied coffee experience.
3in1 Original strikes a harmonious balance between taste and texture, combining a rich coffee flavour with a creamy consistency and subtle sweetness.
Rounding out the range is 2in1, a creamy and flavourful coffee without added sugar. This variant is perfect for consumers looking for a satisfying coffee that is less sweet but still full of flavour.
“As South Africans continue to seek affordable yet high-quality coffee options, we are committed to delivering products that meet their expectations,” says Domaine Rautenbach, Senior Brand Manager at Jacobs.
The expanded range also comes with an improved recipe, tailored for today’s health-conscious consumers.
The new formulation boasts up to 45% less sugar and 37% fewer calories per serving, offering a lighter yet satisfying coffee experience without compromising flavour.
At a time when coffee prices are rising, the Jacobs 3in1 range remains an accessible, value-driven option. It provides a premium coffee experience at an affordable price point.
A sustainable packaging shift
Jacobs also cements its sustainability efforts with an eco-friendlier packaging design. The updated box has been resized to reduce material use, reducing packaging waste.
As a result, the new format generates 20.1% fewer CO₂ emissions, achieved through cardboard and sachet material reductions.
This shift forms part of Jacobs’ broader sustainability strategy, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint while continuing to meet its customers’ evolving needs.
With innovation in taste and environmental responsibility, Jacobs’ 3in1 refresh promises to deliver convenience, flavour, and conscience in every cup.
