Blieck will lead Miraclon’s EAMER Service Team, collaborating with Flexo Solutions Engineers to assist customers from platemaking to press.

EMEA – Miraclon has appointed Frédéric Blieck as service manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, tasking the flexographic printing specialist with leading its EAMER service team and supporting packaging customers from platemaking through pressroom operations.
Blieck brings more than 21 years of industry experience to the role, encompassing extensive service and commercial leadership.
He has been with Miraclon for almost three years, gaining familiarity with the company’s FLEXCEL
Solutions portfolio and its customer base across the region. His appointment strengthens the technical leadership structure that underpins Miraclon’s flexographic printing support for packaging converters.
Service Team to Bridge Platemaking and Pressroom Support
In his new position, Blieck will lead the EAMER Service Team, working closely with Miraclon’s Flexo Solutions Engineers to assist customers from platemaking through to the press room.
The role combines responsive service with applications and print support intended to improve performance, consistency and productivity.
This integrated approach addresses a common challenge in flexographic operations, where platemaking decisions directly influence pressroom outcomes including registration, ink transfer and print defect rates.
Leadership Emphasises Technical Expertise and Customer Focus
Robbert Merkus, global commercial service business director at Miraclon, said the company’s Flexo Solutions Engineers brought together technical expertise and applications knowledge to help customers get the best from FLEXCEL Solutions in their platemaking and print production environments.
He explained that whether the task involved optimising platemaking practices, supporting press trials, troubleshooting print challenges or helping implement modern flexo practices, that knowledge was applied across the print production process to help customers operate more efficiently and consistently.
Merkus added that Blieck possessed the experience, leadership and customer focus to build on that strength across the region.
Regional Support Reflects Packaging Demand
The EMEA region encompasses diverse packaging markets, from established European converters to emerging operations across Africa and the Middle East.
Flexographic printing remains the dominant process for corrugated, flexible and label packaging, making technical service capability a competitive differentiator.
Miraclon, which was established as a standalone business following its separation from Kodak’s flexographic division, has positioned itself around FLEXCEL NX technology and related plate-making systems.
The company serves packaging printers, trade shops and brand owners seeking consistent reproduction across varied substrates.
Blieck’s remit covers service delivery across the full EAMER territory, ensuring customers receive coordinated technical support regardless of location.
