Nelipak expands sterile barrier medical packaging for Asia-Pacific customers

Nelipak’s medical packaging portfolio features a wide range of custom-designed sterile barrier solutions.

ASIA – Nelipak Corporation, a global leader in packaging solutions for medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceutical delivery, and other demanding applications, has announced a strengthened commitment to customers in the Asia-Pacific region.

This includes direct service and enhanced support through its network of preferred partners.

Nelipak’s medical packaging portfolio features a wide range of custom-designed sterile barrier solutions.

Its flexible packaging line includes coated roll-stock, die-cut lids and sheets, pouches, and bags—engineered using a variety of substrates such as Tyvek, medical papers, films, and foil laminates.

These are combined with advanced heat-seal coating technologies like Nelipak CR27, SBP2000, and PS-series coated papers.

These flexible packaging products became part of Nelipak’s portfolio following its 2019 acquisition of Bemis Healthcare Packaging Europe.

In addition to flexible packaging, Nelipak also offers rigid thermoformed trays and medical tray sealing machines.

“Our healthcare packaging solutions have been used globally and in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 30 years,” said Pat Chambliss, CEO of Nelipak.

“Offering products both directly and through our preferred partners allows us to collaborate closely with customers—ensuring tailored solutions that meet their specific needs from concept to completion.

“This direct engagement helps streamline processes, reduce costs, and eliminate the need to validate alternative suppliers—without compromising on quality or service.”

With over 70 years of experience in sterile barrier packaging, Nelipak understands the unique technical demands and growth aspirations of the Asia-Pacific healthcare market.

The company is investing in local capabilities to meet evolving customer requirements, including expanding technical expertise, commercial resources, and innovative packaging technologies within the region.

By leveraging its global strength and enhancing regional support, Nelipak is positioning itself as a key partner for Asia-Pacific healthcare companies seeking reliable, high-performance sterile packaging solutions.

Nelipak’s healthcare packaging experts are ready to collaborate, offering tailored insights and innovative solutions to help customers thrive in a fast-evolving market.

Meanwhile, in October last year, the company was awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal for 2024 with an increased score, in recognition of its sustainability efforts.

“I’m proud of the progress reflected in our EcoVadis Silver Medal rating,” said Pat Chambliss, CEO of Nelipak.

“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our global team and to our ongoing commitment to advancing sustainability in healthcare.”

Nelipak’s Silver Medal rating is based on the EcoVadis Sustainability Scorecard which evaluates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: Environment; Labor & Human Rights; Ethics; and Sustainable Procurement.

The EcoVadis sustainability rating methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering 200+ spend categories and 175+ countries.
