Precision Roll Solutions merges with American Roller to form North America’s largest precision printing roll platform

The combined entity delivers an integrated capability set spanning the full roll lifecycle.

USA – Precision Roll Solutions has merged with American Roller Company to create what the combined entity describes as North America’s most complete precision roll manufacturing platform, offering integrated capability spanning engineered base rolls, laser-engraved anilox and gravure surfaces, and engineered coverings for flexographic and industrial converting applications.

The merger, announced on July 9, 2026, brings together PRS’s precision roll and cylinder manufacturing, including laser-engraved anilox rolls, gravure and embossing rolls, specialty base rolls, and web handling equipment, with American Roller Company’s expertise in engineered roll coverings and cores, industrial coatings, and field service capability.

As part of the transaction, Scott Vuchetich assumes the role of CEO, bringing more than 30 years of experience leading growth-stage organizations.

New CEO Appointed as Leaders Transition to Combined Management Structure

Dan Cahalane, who has served as CEO of American Roller since 2005, transitions to executive vice president and will work closely with Vuchetich and the broader leadership team to ensure continuity during integration.

Justin Glass, who has served as CEO of Precision Roll Solutions since 2024, becomes chief commercial officer of the combined company.

Cahalane stated that merging with the equally accomplished team at PRS dramatically accelerates the possibilities for customers and combined teammates.

Glass added that the merger gives customers immediate access to a broader set of capabilities, backed by the same teams and standard of precision they have always counted on.

Integrated Capability Serves Flexographic, Gravure and Industrial Converting Markets

The combined entity delivers an integrated capability set spanning the full roll lifecycle: precision-engineered base rolls and cylinders, laser-engraved and mechanically engraved surfaces, specialty rubber and elastomer coverings, thermal and UV-cure coatings, and supporting service infrastructure.

These capabilities serve flexographic, gravure, laminating, coating, embossing, metal and industrial converting applications.

Vuchetich stated that the foundation built by both teams is exceptional, and he is committed to building on that momentum for employees, customers and partners.

The merger follows American Roller’s recent acquisition strategy under Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, including the 2024 acquisition of A-Korn Roller and Schaefer Rolls.

The combined platform positions the company as a comprehensive partner for printing and packaging converters requiring precision rolls, cylinders and engineered coverings across the entire production process.
