Refresco expands Nordic footprint with acquisition of Telemark Kildevann

The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, marks the latest milestone in Refresco’s ongoing “Buy & Build” strategy.

NORWAY — Global beverage solutions giant Refresco has signed an agreement to acquire Norway’s Telemark Kildevann Holding (TKV), further strengthening its position in the Nordic region.

The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, marks the latest milestone in Refresco’s ongoing “Buy & Build” strategy aimed at expanding its footprint and capabilities across key markets.

TKV is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in soft drinks and bottled water, operating two strategically located production facilities in Fyresdal and Aurskog.

The company has built strong partnerships with both private-label retailers and branded beverage customers across Norway and Sweden.

Refresco CEO Hans Roelofs called the acquisition a significant step forward.

“TKV’s loyal customer base, strong capabilities, and well-established market position enhances our ability to serve retailers and branded customers in Norway, Sweden and beyond,” he said.

“I look forward to welcoming over 60 employees to the Refresco team and further grow the business together.”

Refresco, headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, currently operates 75 production facilities across Europe, North America, and Australia.

Its broad beverage portfolio includes carbonated soft drinks, juices, teas, waters, sports drinks, energy drinks, and plant-based beverages, delivered in various packaging formats such as PET, glass, cans, and cartons.

The acquisition of TKV follows Refresco’s 2023 purchase of VBC Bottling Company, a U.S.-based manufacturer located in Modesto, California.

The VBC acquisition expanded Refresco’s North American footprint, adding over 600,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing capacity.

That deal also reinforced Refresco’s canning capabilities and enhanced its ability to serve high-growth categories for contract manufacturing clients.

Together, these acquisitions underline Refresco’s long-term ambition to support “global, national, and emerging” brands with flexible, high-capacity beverage production and packaging solutions.

As the demand for private-label and health-oriented beverages grows across global markets, Refresco continues to position itself as a key partner to brands and retailers seeking scalable, efficient production.

The company employs over 14,000 people worldwide and remains committed to expanding its presence in strategic geographies while maintaining a customer-first approach.

The TKV deal is expected to close later this year. Once completed, it will enhance Refresco’s operational agility in Northern Europe, improve its ability to meet customer demand, and reinforce its leadership in the evolving beverage manufacturing landscape.
