Sakshi Packagers becomes first buyer of SASG’s new rigid box machine in India

The move expands SASG’s presence in India’s growing premium packaging segment.

INDIA – Kanpur-based Sakshi Packagers has announced the installation of a brand-new rigid box making machine supplied by SASG UV Solutions, becoming the first Indian buyer of the equipment since its launch earlier this year.

SASG UV Solutions, widely known for its UV curing systems, chillers, and interdeck solutions, recently diversified its portfolio by introducing rigid box machines manufactured by a Shenzhen-based partner.

The move expands SASG’s presence in India’s growing premium packaging segment, where demand for rigid boxes is rising among cosmetics, confectionery, electronics, and luxury goods brands.

According to Udit Aggarwal of Sakshi Packagers, the investment reflects the company’s strategy to expand its capabilities in high-precision packaging.

“We found the new rigid box making machine from SASG highly versatile, flexible, and a value-for-money system. It is one of the most efficient machines we have ever owned, combining high precision, ease of use, and cost efficiency,” Aggarwal said.

He noted that Sakshi Packagers first encountered the machine at PrintPack India 2025, held in Greater Noida, where SASG showcased its expanded portfolio.

“From the very first demonstration, we were impressed with the performance and robust design,” Aggarwal added, highlighting SASG’s strong post-sales service as another factor in the decision.

This latest purchase builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Sakshi Packagers has used SASG’s indigenously developed UV curing machines for several years and continues to integrate new technologies from the supplier to improve efficiency and output.

The rigid box making machine has already been deployed at Sakshi’s Kanpur unit, which employs a team of 35 packaging professionals.

The facility produces a wide range of packaging solutions including corrugated boxes, mono cartons, and corner-cut folders, alongside bespoke rigid boxes for clients in diverse markets.

“Our production spans cosmetics, perfumes, confectioneries, sweets, corporate gifts, medicines, and more,” Aggarwal explained.

“With this new machine, we can now scale up our premium packaging solutions while meeting client requirements for both quality and customization.”

For SASG, the sale marks an important milestone in strengthening its footprint in India’s rigid box segment, which has seen rising investments due to growth in luxury and e-commerce packaging.

As Indian converters adopt more advanced machinery, industry analysts expect similar technology upgrades to accelerate across the packaging sector.
