SunDance to scale stand-up pouch production with Ares 400-SUP Machine

USA – US-based innovative print solutions company focused on delivering quality cost-effective and timely solutions, SunDance has announced the production of stand-up pouches after the acquisition of Hudson-Sharp Ares 400-SUP machine.

The pouch machine produces flexible pouches with low scrap rates, resulting in reduced material waste.

Ares 400-SUP Machine also has a small, efficient, and user-friendly design for quick changeovers in short and medium-run manufacturing.

SunDance’s curated equipment, such as the Ares-SUP, aligns with its sustainability and quality standards as Florida’s first certified Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) offset printer.

According to the firm, the machine can generate diverse structures with sharp images and brilliant colors, as well as recycle-ready PE, laminated films, paper, and bio-films.

SunDance president JohnHenry Ruggieri said: “The Ares 400-SUP is a great addition to our company’s growing pouch production.

“With the machine, small but growing brands will be able to take advantage of stand-up pouches to better market their product.”

Earlier this year, the company introduced child-resistant pouches to suit customers who need a higher level of product safety without compromising packaging appeal.

The Orlando-based commercial printer is increasing manufacturing to include stand-up pouches once again, giving firms of all sizes greater packaging flexibility.

Acquisition of HP Indigo 25K Digital Press

Last month, SunDance acquired the HP Indigo 25K Digital Press for more labels and flexible packaging options in digital production.

The advanced press is designed for on-demand labels and flexible packaging, with optimized efficiency and minimal environmental impact.

The HP Indigo 25K Digital Press allows SunDance to satisfy the most stringent brand color and quality standards.

Its seamless color automation enables accuracy and consistency across jobs while eliminating lost production time.

The press also minimizes complexities and waste, helping SunDance to deliver eco-conscious packaging with the agility that brands require to be competitive in today’s fast-moving market.

The HP Indigo 25K Digital Press has up to seven ink stations and allows the use of spot colors, enabling 97% of PANTONE colors.

With its fast color matching and ink changeout, production efficiency increases for shorter turnaround times.

“Our team is dedicated to saying ‘yes’ to customers, with the new press, we’re able to provide the packaging that they desire with the quality and speed that they need,” concluded Ruggieri.
