Empowering local manufacturers with world-class technology and future-ready solutions.

INDIA – Global food processing and packaging leader Tetra Pak unveiled its latest Made-in-India portfolio of ice cream solutions at the Indian Ice Cream Expo (IICE) 2025, underscoring its commitment to making world-class technology more accessible to Indian producers.

The showcase highlights how local manufacturing and global expertise can together power the next phase of innovation and growth in India’s fast-evolving ice cream sector.

“Ice cream is one of the fastest-growing segments in India’s food and beverage industry, and nearly 80% of what the nation enjoys has one thing in common: Tetra Pak’s technology,” said Parmod Kandwal, Processing Director at Tetra Pak.

“At IICE 2025, we are showcasing future-ready, Made-in-India solutions that take food innovation up a notch.

“By combining global expertise with local manufacturing, we’re enabling businesses of every size to push boundaries and deliver delightful experiences to millions of Indians.”

The company’s booth at IICE 2025 features a comprehensive lineup of processing solutions engineered to meet local production needs, from small-scale entrepreneurs to large industrial producers.

These include the Rotary Moulder, designed and manufactured in India for precise forming of stick and moulded ice creams, and the Tetra Pak® Continuous Freezers, which ensure consistent quality and texture in high-volume production.

Other showcased equipment, such as the Tetra Pak® High Shear Mixer, Homogeniser, and Extrusion Line, demonstrate advanced automation and flexibility, catering to the growing demand for premium, artisanal, and functional ice creams.

Tetra Pak’s innovations come at a time when India’s ice cream market is expanding rapidly, driven by changing lifestyles, rising disposable incomes, and growing interest in novel flavours and healthier formulations such as plant-based and protein-enriched options.

According to industry estimates, the Indian ice cream market is projected to exceed US$4 billion by 2028, with regional brands increasingly investing in advanced processing technology to enhance quality and scalability.

By strengthening local production capabilities, Tetra Pak is not only supporting India’s self-reliance goals but also empowering manufacturers to respond swiftly to consumer trends.

As Kandwal emphasized, the company’s focus remains on balancing food safety, quality, and affordability, ensuring that every scoop of innovation is within reach for producers and consumers alike.
