GERMANY – Tosca, a key player in reusable packaging solutions, has inaugurated a cutting-edge service centre in Ingolstadt, Germany.
This latest addition enhances Tosca’s capability to support the country’s major retailers with efficient, data-driven services.
The new service centre, spanning approximately 2,700 square meters, is equipped with advanced technology and solar panels for sustainable energy use.
It features RFID gates, scanning equipment, and automation systems designed to provide accurate data and deep insights into supply chain performance.
Marco Gonzalez, Tosca’s Managing Director for Central Europe, expressed enthusiasm about the new facility, stating, “We’re excited to open our newest service centre in Ingolstadt. This expansion demonstrates our commitment to exceptional service and value for our customers and showcases our ability to adapt quickly to market demands.”
The Ingolstadt centre is strategically located to meet the rising demand for Tosca’s reusable plastic products and pooling services.
This facility will support Tosca’s largest downstream customer in Central Europe and a major supplier. The new centre will also play a crucial role in reducing transport costs and optimizing operations, thereby boosting efficiency across the region.
The centre is set to incorporate a fully automated wash line by August/September, featuring a conveyor reader to automatically update asset status and monitor performance.
These technological investments are part of Tosca’s broader strategy to enhance operational excellence and sustainability.
The opening of the Ingolstadt service centre marks a significant step in Tosca’s European expansion. With 43 service centres across the continent, this new facility underscores the company’s ongoing dedication to growth and innovation.
The expansion reflects Tosca’s efforts to support its customers with superior supply chain solutions and continued advancements in reusable packaging.
Success story with Agromark
In addition to its European expansion, Tosca has also made strides in its partnership with Agromark, a Spanish fruit and vegetable exporter.
By implementing Tosca’s foldable bins, Agromark has reduced its carbon footprint and improved its return on investment.
This collaboration highlights Tosca’s ability to tailor solutions to meet specific needs, such as maintaining the quality of delicate broccoli during transport from Spain to the UK.
Tosca’s latest moves demonstrate a clear commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and supporting sustainability in the supply chain.
