Tropicana launches ‘Fresh & Light’ juice range in eco-friendly cartons

Tropicana Fresh & Light features a refreshing blend of pressed fruit and water, delivering a lighter, naturally reduced sugar juice.

UK – Juice giant Tropicana has unveiled its new Fresh & Light juice range, aimed at health-conscious consumers looking for a lower sugar alternative without compromising on taste.

Available in major UK retailers this spring, the new drinks are packaged in eco-conscious Pure-Pak cartons, combining innovation in both product and packaging.

Launched at the end of March 2025, Tropicana Fresh & Light features a refreshing blend of pressed fruit and water, delivering a lighter, naturally reduced sugar juice.

The range is designed to appeal to modern consumers who are increasingly mindful of sugar intake and seeking more affordable, nutritious beverage options.

“The juice category has faced pressure from rising fruit prices and health concerns over sugar,” said Sophie Loveday-Davies, Tropicana’s Marketing Manager.

“With Fresh & Light, we’re responding directly to those challenges—offering a delicious, lower sugar juice that fits today’s lifestyles.”

Citing data from Zappi (June 2024), Loveday-Davies noted that over a third of juice drinkers reduced or stopped purchasing juice primarily due to sugar content.

“That insight drove the development of this range,” she added. “Made with pressed fruit and blended with water, Fresh & Light delivers great taste with 30% less sugar than traditional fruit juice, plus 100% of your daily Vitamin C.”

The Fresh & Light range includes five new SKUs across three flavours—Morning Orange, Crisp Apple, and Tropical—available in 850ml and 1.45L Pure-Pak cartons.

The cartons, widely recycled in the UK, reinforce Tropicana’s sustainability commitments while offering the convenience consumers expect.

“The Pure-Pak carton is a trusted pack for Tropicana. It’s fully recyclable, and for this launch, it helps us deliver both sustainability and consumer convenience,” said Nikolaos Kokidis, Packaging Procurement Lead for Tropicana Europe.

Designed to attract new shoppers and re-engage lapsed ones, the launch is expected to drive both category value and volume.

The new juice range is also priced at an affordable entry point, making it accessible to a wider audience seeking healthier drink choices.

Tropicana Fresh & Light is currently available at Asda and Ocado as of 27 March, with rollouts planned for Sainsbury’s, Spar, Nisa, and Amazon Fresh by the end of April, and Morrisons and Tesco in early May.
