wooshinfaandt targets Middle East growth with strategic Dubai expansion

UAE – South Korean packaging automation specialist wooshinfaandt has taken a further step in its international expansion roadmap with the launch of operations in Dubai, positioning the emirate as a strategic hub for Middle East growth.

Founded in the 1990s, the company manufactures automated packaging systems for tea bags, coffee drip bags and stick-format products.

Its portfolio is built on proprietary technologies supported by multiple patents, with equipment supplied to domestic customers in South Korea and a growing number of overseas markets.

Under its global expansion strategy running through 2026, wooshinfaandt is targeting key growth regions including the United States, Japan and the UAE.

Dubai has been selected as a regional base due to its established role as a logistics and distribution gateway linking Asia, Europe and Africa.

In Dubai, the company will showcase a range of compact, electric-based packaging systems developed over the past two years.

These include compact drip bag automatic packaging machines, small three-side sealing machines, compact stick packaging machines and the UFO coffee filter packaging machine.

The newer models are designed to address limitations associated with larger, conventional equipment, offering space-saving footprints and energy-efficient operation suited to specialty coffee roasters and small-to-medium manufacturers.

The move comes amid sustained growth in specialty coffee consumption and increasing demand for convenient, single-serve brewing formats across the Middle East.

Dubai’s vibrant hospitality and café sector, alongside its role as a re-export centre, provides access to regional markets in the Gulf, North Africa and beyond.

To reinforce brand visibility, wooshinfaandt plans to participate in major international industry exhibitions, including the World of Coffee in San Diego, the Seoul Cafe Show in South Korea and SCAJ in Tokyo.

The company intends to present both its established product lines and recently developed compact systems at these events.

Beyond physical trade shows, the manufacturer is scaling up digital sales channels, including expanded activity on Alibaba, and increasing its social media engagement to reach international buyers.

Additional patent filings are also planned to safeguard ongoing technological development.

A company representative described Dubai as “a strategic gateway for expansion into the Middle East and global markets,” adding that by addressing local demand with compact, electric-based packaging machinery, wooshinfaandt aims to strengthen its global footprint and position itself as a leading provider of automated packaging solutions.
