Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America adds new 8oz ring neck bottles to US portfolio

USA – Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America (AGP–North America), part of Ardagh Group, has expanded its domestically manufactured product line with the launch of two new 8oz ring neck glass bottles aimed at the food sector.

Designed for applications such as dressings, sauces and marinades, the clear glass bottles are available with either a lug or continuous thread (CT) finish, offering flexibility for brand owners and co-packers.

The company said the bottles can be sourced directly from its US operations, supporting shorter supply chains and greater responsiveness to customer demand.

As with the wider AGP portfolio, the new bottles are manufactured from recyclable glass, a material that can be reprocessed multiple times without loss of quality.

The launch aligns with growing demand from food brands seeking packaging formats that combine product visibility, durability and sustainability credentials.

“Ardagh Glass Packaging is pleased to offer these new 8oz ring neck bottles that offer brands the clarity, durability and shelf appeal they expect for their products,” said Rashmi Markan, chief commercial officer at AGP–North America.

“These versatile glass bottles also deliver the premium look in a trusted packaging material that consumers desire.”

The move follows continued innovation across Ardagh’s global glass operations. In July last year, Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe introduced a lightweight 300g, 75cl wine bottle for still wines, engineered for compatibility with high-speed filling lines while maintaining the traditional aesthetics associated with glass.

The company highlighted the design’s significant weight reduction, supporting lower material usage and potential transport efficiencies.

Beyond glass, Ardagh Group maintains a diversified presence across packaging substrates. Ardagh Metal Packaging, 76% owned by Ardagh Group, is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, while the group also holds a 42% stake in Trivium Packaging, a supplier of metal packaging solutions to the food, specialty and personal care markets.

According to company information, Ardagh Group operates 58 manufacturing facilities across 16 countries and employs approximately 19,000 people, with reported annual sales of around US$9.1bn.

The introduction of the 8oz ring neck bottles underscores a broader trend in the US food packaging market toward right-sized, premium glass formats that meet brand differentiation goals while reinforcing recyclability and domestic sourcing strategies.
