A dedicated facility will size, cut, and process coil packaging steel, with output sold as sheets and printed sheets in domestic and international markets.

TURKEY – Bantas Bandirma Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret has reported that construction of its integrated coil packaging steel facility is proceeding on schedule, supporting the Turkish company’s strategic growth vision and expanding its packaging supply chain role.
The investment centres on a dedicated facility that will size, cut and process coil packaging steel before selling the output as sheets and printed sheets to buyers in both domestic and international markets.
This vertical integration positions Bantas to capture additional value within the packaging supply chain, moving beyond its existing operations into upstream steel processing.
The project aligns with the company’s 2020–2025 strategic growth vision, which prioritises deepening its packaging footprint and broadening market reach across export destinations.
Construction Progresses Under Existing Board Resolutions
The company confirmed that construction and related processes for the integrated facility investment are advancing as planned under previously approved board resolutions.
Continued adherence to the investment programme indicates operational expansion that may enhance production capacity and support long-term strategic growth.
Bantas has not disclosed revised timelines or capital expenditure figures beyond its earlier guidance, suggesting the project remains within its original budget framework.
Printed Sheet Capacity Targets Packaging Converters
The printed sheet component of the facility is particularly significant for packaging converters, who require pre-printed steel substrates for applications including aerosol containers, food cans, paint tins and industrial packaging.
By supplying printed sheets directly, Bantas reduces the need for converters to operate in-house printing lines, potentially lowering capital requirements and lead times across the supply chain.
This positioning could strengthen the company’s competitive capacity in packaging markets where steel remains a preferred material for durability, recyclability and barrier performance. Steel packaging is among the most recycled formats globally, with recovery rates exceeding 80% in many European markets.
Strategic Growth and Market Positioning
The investment programme supports Bantas’ broader ambition to strengthen its standing within Turkey’s industrial packaging sector.
Turkey has emerged as a significant packaging producer, serving both domestic manufacturers and export markets across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
By integrating coil processing into its operations, Bantas aims to secure supply chain resilience, control input quality and improve margins on finished packaging products. The company’s shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker BNTAS.
