Blue Mango Labels & Flexible packaging boosts output with new Weigang flexo press

The newly installed Weigang ZJR450G is a high-performance flexo machine designed for efficiency and precision.

TANZANIA – Blue Mango Labels & Flexible Packaging, a rapidly growing Tanzanian print and packaging company, has strengthened its production capabilities with the installation of a new Weigang ZJR450G flexographic printing press.

This strategic investment underscores the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, globally competitive print solutions for clients across East Africa and beyond.

The newly installed Weigang ZJR450G is a high-performance flexo machine designed for efficiency and precision.

It features a servo control system with 22 independent motors (8C+1D), ensuring highly accurate registration even at high speeds. This level of automation allows for consistent, top-tier print quality while reducing waste and downtime.

A standout feature of the machine is its lightweight sleeve-type printing roller system, which enables rapid changeovers—an important factor for companies like Blue Mango that handle a variety of jobs with short lead times.

Additionally, the machine is equipped with anvil rollers and water chillers to stabilize the printing process, especially when working with unsupported films—materials commonly used in flexible packaging applications.

The ZJR450G’s user-friendly design and ease of maintenance further enhance its appeal for production teams, allowing Blue Mango to optimize operational efficiency while continuing to expand its product offerings.

“We trust Weigang’s machines to drive our new chapter,” said Mufaddal Jamalee, CEO of Blue Mango Labels & Flexible Packaging.

“Their commitment to quality and customer support made the decision an easy one. The entire team at Weigang has been extremely supportive throughout the installation process.”

Weigang Technology, a well-established Chinese manufacturer of label and packaging printing machinery, has steadily increased its footprint across the African continent.

Its presence now extends to Algeria, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Nigeria, and Angola. Much of the company’s growing reputation in the region is attributed to strong word-of-mouth endorsements from satisfied users and competitive equipment performance.

With this investment, Blue Mango is positioning itself to meet the rising demand for flexible packaging and high-quality labels in the East African market.

The company continues to focus on innovation, timely delivery, and superior customer service as it scales up to serve a wider range of industries, including food and beverage, personal care, and pharmaceuticals.

This expansion not only reflects Blue Mango’s growth ambitions but also signifies the increasing sophistication and competitiveness of the packaging industry in Tanzania and the broader region.
