The initiative has been rolled out in two phases, covering nine key cities.

INDIA – Casio India Co. Private Ltd. has launched the second edition of its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Recycle Responsibly 2.0’, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable e-waste management and environmental stewardship.
The campaign, which builds on the success of its inaugural edition, aims to promote awareness and action on the pressing challenge of electronic waste across multiple Indian cities.
The initiative, launched on 29 September 2025, will be rolled out in two phases, covering nine key cities including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Ghaziabad.
By leveraging cultural events, residential societies, educational institutions, corporate parks, marketplaces, and public gatherings, Casio is creating a network of accessible recycling touchpoints for citizens.
Casio has partnered with SHEOWS, Allied Waste Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (AWS), Onika Social Welfare Foundation, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and NGOs to drive grassroots engagement.
One of the most notable contributions came from the Raj Nagar Extension Puja Evam Sanskritik Trust, which creatively blended spirituality and sustainability during festival celebrations.
Their thematic installations under the campaign theme “Choose Victory Over E-Waste” encouraged citizens to donate unused or end-of-life electronics responsibly.
The initiative was recognized by senior leaders, including India’s Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, and received best wishes from the Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh.
Speaking at the campaign’s launch, Gurmeet Singh, Legal Head at Casio India, emphasized the company’s broader mission, “Responsible recycling is not just about compliance – it is about contributing to a more sustainable planet.
“Through the Recycle Responsibly campaign, we intend to inspire individuals and communities to take small actions that collectively create meaningful environmental impact.”
The campaign facilitates the safe disposal of a wide range of electronic products, from calculators and watches to televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and mobile phones.
All collected items will be processed by authorized recyclers in strict compliance with India’s E-Waste Management Rules 2022, and in alignment with the Government’s Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) agenda.
With electronic waste emerging as one of the fastest-growing environmental threats in India, projected to exceed 5 million tonnes annually by 2025, the campaign underscores the urgent need for shared responsibility.
Casio India’s initiative not only raises awareness but also seeks to transform responsible recycling into a collective social movement.
By expanding its footprint and integrating cultural touchpoints, Recycle Responsibly 2.0 highlights how sustainability and celebration can go hand in hand, while strengthening Casio’s long-term vision of building a greener future.
