FRANCE – Caudalie has partnered with Lumson to design the packaging for its Premier Cru La Crème Riche Anti-age Global, selecting the De Luxe Re Place, a refillable glass jar with an inner PP cup.

Re Place was chosen by the brand “because it combines luxury and sustainability.” The packaging consists of a refillable jar with an inner cup.

Lumson says it creates refillable packaging so that consumers can be “more virtuous” and engage in “conscious consumption.” The components of the pot are made in Italy.

Crème Riche Anti-Âge Global from the Premier Cru collection is an anti-aging cream formulated with 97% plant-based ingredients.

It aims to correct the eight prominent skin imperfections related to the passage of time: persistent wrinkles, small wrinkles, blemishes, loss of radiance, loss of volume, sagging, and dehydration.

The Re Place cosmetic packaging solution is part of Lumson’s range of refillable packaging. Other options in the range include Re-Think, a packaging redesigned with an eco-design perspective.

The Re-Gen is a refillable glass jar, and the Re-Act assists brands and consumers in reducing their environmental impact.

Each refill purchased saves approximately 3.12 metric tonnes of multi-material packaging and 18 metric tonnes of glass, according to Lumson.

Meanwhile, in September, Lumson equipped Sisley Paris with a glass airless system for their All Day All Year skincare cream, which acts as a protective shield for the skin.

Lumson has developed a customized version of the Techno Airless Glass collection for their All Day All Year line. This innovative design allows for easy separation of the components (pump, pouch, bottle, and overcap) at the end of their lifecycle. The glass and plastic materials can then be properly recycled through the appropriate recycling programs.

The glass bottle is decorated with a semi-transparent inner lacquering, while the pump and cover are aluminum overshelled. The overcap is customized with an embossed logo on top.

According to Sisley, the glass bottle has been designed to be recyclable, specifically by incorporating a removable pump and using glass that is compatible with recycling technologies.

In the same month, Quadpack, a global manufacturer of cosmetics packaging, recently designed packaging for Elate Beauty’s Prep Priming Serum and Refresh Foundation.

Both items are refillable and recyclable, and they feature caps and components made from responsibly sourced ash wood.

The eco-friendly solutions are produced at Quadpack’s Wood factory in Spain. The Prep Priming Serum is packaged in a 30 ml Skin-Up glass bottle with a wooden collar, accompanied by a bulb dropper for accurate application.

Elate’s top-selling product, the Refresh liquid foundation, is available in a 30 ml Skin-Up glass bottle, which is dispensed through a convenient push-button dropper.
