Monoflo International enters Europe with reusable packaging operation

Extending its engineering, manufacturing, and service platform into Europe, the new entity serves European customers and integrators, grounded in Monoflo’s five-decade legacy of precision injection-moulded containers, trays, and pallets in North America.

EUROPE – Monoflo International has formed Monoflo International GmbH to extend its reusable transport packaging operation into Europe, targeting warehouse automation growth and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation reuse requirements.

The European business extends the company’s engineering, manufacturing and service platform to better serve European customers and system integrators.

Monoflo’s lineup of injection-moulded containers, trays and pallets has shaped the reusable transport packaging industry in North America for over 50 years, and the new entity is built on that same precision-manufacturing foundation.

With leadership on the ground, an integrator network under development and a busy European trade show schedule, Monoflo enters the market at what it describes as a transformative time.

Containers Engineered for Automated Warehouse Tolerances

Monoflo containers and trays are engineered to deliver and hold the precise dimensional tolerances automated warehouse systems rely on.

Pallets and foldable pallet boxes carry that same engineering discipline into the transport loop, protecting goods in transit and supporting reuse programmes across the automotive, manufacturing, food and retail industries.

Andrew Rader, managing director for Europe, said the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation was changing the way goods moved across the continent while warehouse automation technologies continued driving advances in precision and efficiency.

He added that European businesses needed a container manufacturer who could help them keep pace.

Reuse Credentials Predate Regulatory Requirements

Monoflo’s reuse credentials predate the regulations currently reshaping the European market.

The company takes a measurable operational approach to circularity, engineering every product for long service life and, where possible, manufacturing with closed-loop recycled content recovered from end-of-life containers.

From durable products to material reclamation processes, the business supports European operators working toward requirements taking hold across the continent.

This circular model addresses mounting pressure on packaging producers to reduce virgin material consumption while maintaining performance standards demanded by automated handling equipment.

Three Segments Anchor European Strategy

The company’s complete lineup of transport packaging serves three primary segments across Europe: automated systems and intralogistics, automotive and durable goods manufacturing and retail, and food and beverage distribution.

Bart Vandekerkhof, sales director for Europe, said the company was building a full, working European footprint rather than just a sales office.

He noted that Monoflo was on the ground developing a distributor and integrator network to help customers make essential container decisions that optimised distribution networks and automated warehouse systems rather than constrained them.
