The water pack is designed for households and workplaces seeking convenient, affordable bulk hydration across the country.

UGANDA – Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has launched a new 10-litre bulk pack under its Rwenzori Pure Natural Mineral Water portfolio, expanding access to affordable and safe drinking water for consumers across Uganda.
The newly introduced pack offers a mid-sized option between the brand’s smaller take-home bottles and the larger 20-litre containers, giving consumers a convenient bulk format while maintaining value per litre. The product will retail at a recommended price of UGX 8,000.
Company officials said the new packaging format was specifically developed for households and workplaces that require both convenience and cost efficiency in their everyday hydration needs.
Speaking during the product launch, Cola Beverages Uganda, said the innovation reflects the company’s efforts to respond to changing consumer purchasing habits.
“We are seeing a clear shift towards bulk purchasing as consumers look for value, convenience and fewer store visits. The new Rwenzori 10L directly responds to these insights,” Hashakimana said.
“It delivers the purity and safety our consumers trust, in a practical format that fits seamlessly into their daily routines.”
Rwenzori Pure Natural Mineral Water has built a reputation in Uganda for providing quality natural mineral water.
According to the company, the introduction of the 10-litre pack strengthens that reputation by offering a practical solution for a wide range of consumers.
The new pack is designed to serve families, shared households, workplaces, social gatherings and other situations where larger volumes of drinking water are needed at an affordable price.
Mary Nassali, Commercial Excellence Director at Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, said the innovation was influenced by insights gathered through the company’s regular market engagement activities.
“Every year, we conduct the Marketing Activation Recruitment Week, where employees from different departments go into the market to directly interact with customers,” Nassali said.
“The 10L pack is a direct outcome of these conversations — a product designed around the practical hydration needs of everyday consumers.”
The company confirmed that the new 10-litre pack is now available at major retail outlets and distribution points across Uganda.
CCBU continues to play a significant role in the country’s economy through employment and partnerships across its value chain.
The company currently employs more than 1,000 permanent and fixed-term staff and works with over 400 contractors across its four production plants.
Last year, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda received the Bronze Employer of the Year Award from the Federation of Uganda Employers in recognition of its contribution to job creation and entrepreneurship in the country.
