SAUDI ARABIA – Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and stc Group’s iot squared have introduced the Ericsson Connected Recycling platform in Saudi Arabia (KSA), with Alshaya Group as the first enterprise to adopt the solution.
As the local implementation partner, iot squared will be responsible for contracting businesses like Alshaya Group to leverage the platform.
Developed through collaborations with Tetra Pak and other industry partners, the Ericsson Connected Recycling platform enables enterprises to trade and trace circular material flows, helping businesses monetize waste while automating environmental impact reporting.
Alshaya Group aims to cut landfill waste by more than 50% by integrating the platform. The company will collaborate with Obeikan Paper Industries (OPI) and Tetra Pak to promote waste diversion and advance sustainable packaging solutions.
The platform’s real-time tracking capabilities will streamline waste monetization, enhance circularity, and reduce environmental impact.
